Icons Hardware Section: I looked for Graphic Card and Monitor and first icon that caught my attention was actually TV card setup. The present Graphic Card and Monitor is for sure far from giving idea that it is graphic setup. Maybe adding something that mimics speakers under the screen would be better for TV, and plain monitor image as it is now for TV to use for Graphic Card and Monitor. Printer image is now almost hidden behind button that should represent what? The old icon was clear for me. I see the problem with fingerprint reader too, that can be confused with general security setup, but this icon is for sure better than the old one that was accurate as device image, but too similar to Scanner. The Infrared icon looks promising as wireless setup to me, just paint waves blue and that's it. How to present infrared, I'm not sure, I haven't seen any external infrared receivers for computers, and those for headphones resembling to current icon. We would probably need under network devices something as wireless setup icon, wired setup. It can call the same network card setup focused to different tab. Present layout brings 3 devices and then Network Settings, implying that something is missing. It is actually the same case as Graphic Card. tsclient --------- tsclient-0.148-120 has been part of the 10.3 and previous Remote Desktop pattern, but is now gone on 11.0 beta 1 (again). Ref. my previous bug report https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223735 tightvnc is maybe be replacement, but tsclient has proved to a very reliable and useful gui front end, especially for rdesktop to connect to Windowns RDP servers. I don't know if tsclient it is maintained longer, but I hope the little newer 0.15 version can continue also on openSUSE 11 http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=192483 CUPS-PDF -------- Most Linux apps doesn't have a built-in export to pdf file as openOffice or KPDF has. In the Windows world, Adobe Destiller, PDF writer or PDF creator are very often used for Print to "PDF files", both for display exchange and also more often instead of plotfiles from CAD systems. CUPS-PDF looks to fill this gap on Linux and might be used in a similar way as a generic printer to create PDF files. [opensuse-factory] Is yast2-qt-pkg working after new zypper?

Hi, has anybody tried 32 bit factory or svn yast2 sw_single? When I try it I get /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/YaST2/plugin/libpy2Pkg.so.2: undefined symbol: _Z18should_be_bufferedv . I'm wondering if it's my system or if the yast developers load software without testing? I'm happy to test for bugs but I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time or not. Hello, A few days ago, on the Packaging ML was an announcement that glibc 2.8 is now available in Factory. This is a very interesting update and requires some testing of other applications as well... Unfortunately, so far, I can not spot glibc 2.8 on factory repositories... in general, it looks like factory is stale since 9. April... not a single updated rpm was pushed to the mirrors (checked with download.opensuse.org) If I follow the commit list, there must have been dozens of updates since then though... is there something stuck or what is blocking those packages to be synched out?
