[opensuse-factory] Is yast2-qt-pkg working after new zypper?
Hi, has anybody tried 32 bit factory or svn yast2 sw_single? When I try it I get /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/YaST2/plugin/libpy2Pkg.so.2: undefined symbol: _Z18should_be_bufferedv . I'm wondering if it's my system or if the yast developers load software without testing? I'm happy to test for bugs but I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time or not. You're lucky, does repository manager work again? It's integrated with sw_single but I only saw it for a short time then an upgrade made a blank window. I filed a bug which they say is fixed but yast doesn't start anymore. Zypper looks good though, an improved layout but I can't have it if I want yast. regards Dave P --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

X86_64, the repo-mngr wasn't broken, so i can't say for you, sorry. Just dup, and see what is happening. I did that yesterday eve, and after that yast was new. And best part: the versions tab works again! -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (Now or never...) Warning on the version tab. I received this email for bug :-"Versions is back, however it is dummy (dont do anything yet)" When I use gtk yast I can select version of package but it doesn't work. Dave Plater wrote: Did a full yast upgrade using zypper lu -t package | awk -F\| '/yast2/ { print $3}' | xargs zypper in and all now works, pity the upgrade of zypper didn't do that in the first place. That is strange, as i looked at it this morning, the versions were visible, as the discription. I did not look any further myself for different repo-pkg-numbers.. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (Now or never...) Just installed the same i586 version as X86_64 which is two build numbers up and still /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/YaST2/plugin/libpy2Pkg.so.2: undefined symbol: _Z18should_be_bufferedv Have to downgrade yast again. Seems like I'm the only person testing i586 factory yast. Did you file a bug about that issue? It looks like a serious issue to me.. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (Now or never...) I just upgraded entire yast and it now works, I just finished posting report to bug 380768 which I opened yesterday. Its a pity certain dependencies are left out of yast upgrades, I only have a gig of internet to use a month anything more costs money. By the way the versions tab will work 100% in version 2.16.37 see bug 354983. http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Crashes Get a list of yast packages: rpm -qa --last | egrep yast\|zypp Upgrading factory from http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/ I don’t have any problem with yast packages Regards --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
