There seems to be no serious use of it today, therefore SUSE doesn't support it either and libxrx should really be removed from the distribution. Egbert.

I was trying xrx with mozilla. i found libxrx etc. but was unable to locate the helper programm xrx. does anyone have an idea where it is ? (what rpm) or is it obsolet can i use libxrx direcly with mozilla ? (xrx lets make you x-web/broadway, see you x window in a browser). thx, walter

How can I install CP1251 TrueType fonts?

Hello! There is a comp with SuSE Linux Professional 9.0. When I try to work with the Internet where use Java applet with text written on CP1251 encoding, I cannot read the text. The default font on my system is KOI8-R. I try to install the TrueType fonts and create dir /usr/share/fonts/my_new_fonts where put CP1251 ttf fonts. But when I try to run ttmkfdir -o fonts.scale SuSE write that cannot find the command. How can I enable the CP1251 encodings? Thanks for any help. Ramis.

ATI Radeon Mobilty problems...

Hello! I've recently installed Suse 9.0 on my DELL latitude c610 laptop and most things works fine, except the X system. The problem is that my X system "freezes" for a short while (perhaps 1/4 of a second or less), roughly once a second. The most annoying part of this problem is that the mouse pointer doesn't move smoothly when I move the mouse around. And of course, playing movies of any kind is hopeless, since they also freeze whith the same frequency as the rest of the X system. Sound, on the other hand, is not affected. Intel G865 and refesh rate

Hi list Is there any known problems with recent(http://www.suse.com/de/security/2004_06_xf86.html) Xfree86 security update ? I updated XFree a few days ago with online update and since then I am not been able to get over 60 Hz vertical refresh rate. No matter what I do, refresh rate is always 60 Hz. I have dual boot with win2k and in windows refresh rate is okay. First I thought it might be the BIOS update which I made at the same time when I update xfree86 but I temporarily downgraded bios version back to old bios but it didn't help. I tried xmode command and added manually modelines to XF86Config but no luck. My hardware is: Intel D865gbf motherboard with 2.66GHz Intel P4 prosessor with build-in graphics adapter (Intel® Extreme Graphics 2) and Compaq V700 Monitor. I have been using i810 module and earlier I configured XFree86 with sax2 and everything worked well with screen resolution 1280x1024@75Hz. But not anymore. I use Suse 9.0. Anybody any idea ?
