Maybe I understood it wrong but IMHO the title of what is now the page
Category:SDB:Installation should be SDB:Installation

I just added "Event report|Template:Event" to list of boilerplates for
openSUSE namespace:
http://en.opensuse.org/MediaWiki:Multiboilerplate-4
but I can see listed only 2 templates in openSUSE: namespace.
Checked another namespace and I have only those 2 templates.
It is either LocalSettings, new version of MultiBoilerplate extension without
CBoltz patch, or yet another extension that has a problem with MediaWiki 1.16.

I'm going to make a list of any I find as I'm looking for information,
and will post that to the list.
The Cooking with Kiwi was a big one which Rajko has redirected/fixed today.
I must say, when I land on the portal, it's a little hard to know
where to go next. I'm not a packager (obviously) so maybe they would
know what they want on that page. But there's no clear 'get started'
or 'begin packaging' link.
https://build.opensuse.org/
this is the one that has an arrow with 'welcome' on my Google search
results so I'm seeing it as a landing page.
Now that I've found the 'login' in the top corner and logged in, I can
see 'my projects'. But it doesn't seem to invite new users to create a
login.
Maybe it would be more obvious to a programmer.
cheers

Hi folks,
I'm working on articles about the openSUSE Build Service.
I'm finding the Wiki a little confusing (I don't know what's on old
wiki and what's on new one) and lots of dead or empty pages. I know
empty pages are a feature of wikis but it isn't a particularly nice
new user experience, espeically when you are hoping to learn something
from that page!
So I know everyone is really busy, but can I ask that OBS is made
something of a priority over the next little while, if it isn't
already? If the article goes to print, it will hopefully generate a
lot of interest so we'll want the documentation to be sparkling.
I'm not sure when my article will go to print (Maybe December, if it's
accepted?) but also, the OBS is the focus of a lot of attention at the
moment, especially at the conference, so I think it's worth focusing
on.
Once I've got the most urgent marketing stuff and the OBS article out
of the way, I hope to start contributing to the wiki, but right now
the conference and OBS is almost a full time job!
cheers,
Helen

No problem, I will do this tomorrow.

Yes, and for the record, I am in support of this. Git is a much more appropriate version control system for the customizations, and using subversion updates from mediawiki.org for the core files and plugins is much less painful.
As I mentioned in the IRC chat, I think it would be best to do this with the next mediawiki update. That way, it can be done without too much extra hassle, and there is really no reason to do it between update cycles.

In the template a referal to the Talk page of this page is present [[Talk:
{{PAGENAME}}]]. However this referal is to Talk:Build_Service_KIWI and should
be a referal to openSUSE_talk:Build_Service_KIWI.
A solution could be to have a Template:openSUSE_section_cleanup, so the
referal could be [[openSUSE_talk:{{PAGENAME}}]], which only can be used in the
openSUSE namespace. Equivalent templates can be defined for other namespaces.
A better solution would be to have a parameter i.e. {{NAMESPACE}}, which
contains the name of the namespace. In that case the referal would be
[[{{NAMESPACE}}_talk:{{PAGENAME}}]].
I assume this is known, so I would like to know how and when this is solved.

Hello,
is there a (written or till now unwritten) policy on describing ways of
installation in the (main)-namespace?
1. How?
1.1 Graphical ways and ways via console
1.2 Graphical YaST and one-Click.
2. Where from?
2.1 openSUSE repositories
2.2 other repositories
2.3 getting the source code and compiling
3. A way of sorting and presenting 1. and 2. (the easiest and/or most
secure first)? The 'best' way?
4. A detailed template for a guideline/recommendation to 1.-3.?

Hi Wiki Team,
the core testing team wants to move the openSUSE:Testing_team to the more
familiar page openSUSE:Testing_Core_Team. Whom can I contact to approve the
new link on the team page and remove safely the page "openSUSE:Testing_team"?
Regards
Jürgen

Hello mates,
thanks to the team members, ja.opensuse.org also got the new instance as
en.o.o recently.
However, in the new instance, each newly created page needs to be
checked, but there're only few who have the privilege to check and
validate pages on ja.o.o ATM.
http://ja.opensuse.org/index.php?title=%E7%89%B9%E5%88%A5:%E7%99%BB%E9%8C%B…
Among those listed there, only 3 persons can understand Japanese. In
addition, Takekazu has already left Novell Japan, I don't know who
Yfurui is (I have never seen his/her name in Japanese community) and I'm
sorry to say the only community member Yuuichi (sysop of ja.o.o) has
been unenthusiastic these days.
# He worked at ja.o.o only 3 times this year. :-(

So, would you please give me the administrative privilege ?
