I have just ported this package from Mandriva. It is a Konqueror plugin which allows to browse properties of a selected file in a sidebar. [opensuse-kde3] small GTK fonts

Hello SuSE KDE3 people, I am sight impaired. All of my fonts are pretty large so that I can read them, except for Firefox and other GTK applications. I am talkingabout the fonts in the task bars, menus, etc. In my personal settings > Appearance > GTK styles I have tried using the "Use my KDE fonts" and other variations. To no avail. Nothing changes. I remember back in about the 9.0 days there was a file or something you could download or edit or something that you could change the appearance of theGTK stuff. If it only happens when you login as yourself but not logged in as root or an alternate user, you should be able to solve it by resetting your all your KDE3 personalizations. To do that, log out of X, switch to any of the virtual consoles and log in, then delete ~/.kde, then log back into X. [opensuse-kde3] minimized apps dissapear

Hello KDE3 people, I'm running KDE3 on openSUSE 11.3. A strange thing has popped up on my desktop. If I minimize an application it does not show up in the taskbar. It just dissapears. I have 4 virtual desktops which I can choose from on the taskbar. I have been trying things in Personal Settings but don't know if that caused it. I've ported QtParted from Fedora 15. You are welcome to test. But there is at least one issue: it always uses Plastik style despite system settings. I saw screenshots in the Internet where it uses different styles. Hello Running KDE3 on 11.2 qnd 11.3 . Having trouble finding certain apps for these OS;s like webpin and kgpg. Everything that comes up is for KDE4. Anybody know where I can find them? Guys, Looking at the sftp problem, I was attempting to rebuild kdebase3, but I've run into a snag. Not sure if it is a compiler issue or package issue. [opensuse-kde3] sftp url parsing (with included port) broken in 11.3 kde3 - fish OK - howto work around?

Ilya, all, I've run across a strange issue with sftp on 11.3 kde3 after recent updates. Attempting to connect to my server on my LAN with sftp, I get the following error: Unexpected sftp error: 2 - konqueror Error encountered while talking to ssh I don't know what recent update may have caused this (I suspect openssl), but it isn't suse specific. It also broke on Arch. The strange thing with both is 'fish' works fine -- even on a non-standard port. (apparently fish respects ~/.ssh/config) Another data point I have is that sftp still works fine with 11.0. So I guess whatever update 11.3 got that 11.0 didn't is causing the issue. I've checked syslog and nothing gets logged with the failure. It looks like a command line parsing issue. In konqueror, if I enter the url in the following form (as I've done for at least 4 years): sftp://user@host:port/dir1/dir2 sftp gives the error. However in 11.3 if I use the command line and do: sftp -Pport user@host:/dir1/dir2 I connect just fine. So it looks like the string kde3 now sends to ssh isn't working anymore. Ahah!! I just checked another box from 11.3 that uses the default port 22 as the ssh port and I can connect in konqueror in 11.3 via sftp just fine! Bingo. So I guess I need to know where I can try and fix this?? It seems that whatever changed in ssh no longer lets kde3 specify sftp locations as: sftp://user@host:port/dir1/dir2 Any thoughts on how I can work around this problem?? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
