[opensuse-kde3] Missing writing accents

Hello List, how can I get back the ability writing accents on my KDE3-desktop? My System is openSUSE 13.1 with KDE3 (3.5.10 release 262) from inofficial Suse-repos. I'm using the keyboard layout with dead keys. Under KDE4 all applications can work with accents. Under KDE3 there is no application writing accents. Writing accents is active (kcontrol). [opensuse-kde3] Need people to voice support for KDE3 compatibility in LibreOffice

Some time ago KDE3 support has been removed from openSUSE's LibreOffice packages even though it is well featured by upstream. I have built LibreOffice with KDE3 support but my commits were rejected under various pretexts. Hello All, Could someone tell me, please, how root can closes a user's (or all user's) KDE3 session(s) for it/them to be closed properly, before executing poweroff. I suppose that there will be the need of some --force flag, because some open windows like Yast or KEdit with an open modified file, but if such a flag does not exists, root can "sleep" a time long enougth before executing Poweroff, to give (me) a chance to handle/close the hanging windows.
