I'm on my 11.4/kde3 laptop right … [View More]now - still no kpowersave battery icon in the tray. Clicking on kmenu -> System -> Desktop -> kpowersave launches and restores the icon to systray. The "battery meter" is working, but looks like it needs to configure itself again to know the proper time left. I think that will happen automatically during the first batter cycle. I needed to configure kpowersave to start on login again. Configure kpowersave -> General Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Autostart [X] KPowersave starts automatically on login. Looks like Ilya worked a bit more magic and got it working again. Great job Ilya. I don't know if this is the old kpowersave or if this is upower with the kpowersave interface on it -- can you fill us in Ilya? Regardless, it seems to be working again. [opensuse-kde3] Compiz on 11.4 with kde3? Anybody? RPMs from where?

Guys, Just checking if anyone has compiz-fusion running on 11.4 with KDE3? I have checked and I have the 8.8 version packages installed, but they don't start. I have fusion-icon from the kde3 repo, but something isn't working. The one thing I notice is that there are no plugins available for the 8.8 compiz release (or at least I haven't found the right repo...) I still have 8.4 running on my 11.0 boxes and 8.6 running on my Arch Linux boxes, but I would like to get it running on 11.4.… [View More]

still playing around with 11.4 and kde3:) , still sticking with 11.1 /kde3.5 as the main os, but that will probably change soon. just installed the latest 3.5 upgrades, all seems well. one little issue is needs debugging is the "suspend to disk" command on the laptop. the machine is a dell vostro 1710 with nvidia graphics and the suspend to disk command just fails. i see the disk drive light up for a split second, then.... nothing! the system is ready for more commands, all keeps working … [View More]

I also restored the repository for openSUSE 11.2 has been disabled for considerable time.
