Greetings, I am curious about a few questions around the build of the nvidia-open-gfxG06 drivers. Will we at some point open the build for more than one kernel at a time for Tumbleweed? Today I just make sure to boot with the kernel this driver is compiled for. Will we ever build the source of other current releases from nvidia? Cisco openh264 https://github.com/cisco/openh264/issues/3480#issuecomment-1368933427 We would use openSUSE:Factory:openh264:{POST,PUBLISHED} projects these would be set up to publish only repodata lkocman will write tool to handle publishing bits and make autobuild request to set up publisherer in a way described above. ^ https://github.com/openSUSE/openSUSE-release-tools/pull/2911 Once we rebuild openh264 with openSUSE key, lkocman will send request to Cisco to republish the bits. Waiting for feedback for PR above. lkocman will ask heroes to setup redirection from these repositories to ciscobinary host. As planned, users should be able to migrate in January. Seems successful, has open issue on debuginfo and auto-installation of the v3 optimized version. Performance benefit seems hard to measure. We tried to send out notifications to the configured bugowner/maintainers of the package(s), but so far no fix has been submitted. This probably means that the maintainer/bugowner did not yet find the time to look into the matter and he/she would certainly appreciate help to get this sorted. - qtile: Fails to build Unless somebody is stepping up and submitting fixes, the listed package(s) are going to be removed from openSUSE:Factory. Hello openSUSE! let me start the New Year by sharing some great news! Cisco engineering published openh264 binaries for openSUSE on the Cisco infra. This unblocked further progress on *simplification of codec installation in openSUSE Tumblweed and Leap. Big thanks to Cisco for making this happen! I've captured the content of the currently extracted zip archive, together with our agreement at https://en.opensuse.org/OpenH264 The next step is to set up a repository, including the gpg key that will point to the rpms hosted on Cisco infra (or involve redirecting). This could be hopefully achieved in the next few days. I will start discussion with related teams to ensure we choose setup that will work with future delivery pipeline for the openh264. Namely Autobuild team and then openSUSE Release Call on Wednesday, Heroes meeting on Thursday.
