Hi,
Orthanc is a RESTful DICOM server for healthcare and medical research. The DICOM format is used to visualize medical images
Is it possible to create a new repository graphics:orthanc as place for development?
Thanks
Axel

Hi,
How important is i586 from the Factory/Tumbleweed submission point of
view? I got a bug report for syslog-ng on Aarch64 in Tumbleweed. It
seems, that a simple version upgrade resolved the problem:
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1143190#c3
On the other hand there is a bug in bison
(https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1143190#c3) so syslog-ng
does not build on i586 right now.
Can I still submit syslog-ng 3.22.1 to Factory, knowing that due to that
bison bug it does not build on i586 right now?
Bye,
CzP

Hello,
the SUSE security team wants to change part of our process in a way that will
affect (open)SUSE packagers. Several features in a package currently produce
rpmlint errors that ask packagers to submit the package for a review by the
security team. E.g.:
- Adding a setuid binary
- Changing polkit settings
This is described here:
https://en.opensuse.org/index.php?title=openSUSE:Package_security_guideline…
The current approach (error by rpmlint) has the drawback that this also
triggers in devel projects. So if you package something with a setuid binary
but don't intend to make this package part of (open)SUSE you will still see the
errors. You then either have to suppress them or we have to spend effort on
reviewing something that's not in an official distribution.
We want to change these errors into warnings without badness (first only in
Factory, but in short order also for openSUSE:* and SUSE:* too). You will still
see a warning that informs you that you need to go through a review if you want
it in an official distribution. This is then enforced by adding reviews for the
security team to each request made to an official distribution if these
warnings are present. Once the changes have been reviewed and whitelisted the
warnings will vanish.
The upside for you is that you can already use/test your packages in the devel
project without being blocked by build errors.
We hope to make the process faster and easier for everyone involved. Nothing
will change for you if:
- you don't need special permissions in you package
- you need special permissions and they were already checked by the
security team
If you see one of these warnings they describe what you need to do to get your
submits through without an additional review being added to the submit. We have
a constant flow of audit bugs, so please open you audit request as early as
possible so that we don't introduce a delay in your request while we review the
changes.
If you have any questions please ask away (please CC me) or contact
security(a)suse.de
Thanks,
Johannes for the SUSE security team

Hello,
I'd like to propose adding /usr/libexec to the openSUSE FHS and
reverting the definition of %_libexecdir in rpm back to /usr/libexec
so that libexec content is installed there.
Currently, openSUSE overrides rpm to define %_libexecdir as /usr/lib,
which leads to pollution of the /usr/lib directory with executable
content as well as 64-bit content when there shouldn't be any. The
/usr/libexec has been in use on RH/Fedora and Mageia systems in the
Linux world, but has its origins in BSD and is still used today in
BSDs and variants (like Mac OS X). The usage of /usr/libexec for
libexec content has also been recognized by FHS with v3.0, released in
2015. In the Linux distribution landscape (that is, all major
families, not just RPM ones), /usr/libexec is in use on Red Hat,
Mandrake, Gentoo, and Slackware families.
This is a breaking change, as it means that as packages are rebuilt,
libexec content *should* migrate from /usr/lib to /usr/libexec. The
major advantage of migrating the libexec content is that it will make
openSUSE consistent with other major RPM-based Linux distributions,
and ease efforts in supporting SUSE distributions along with Red Hat
ones by removing the need for hacks and tweaks to support two
different hierarchies. This simplifies the portability headaches in
supporting both distribution families, and makes it easier for
applications that were originally aimed for RHEL/CentOS to run on
SLE/openSUSE Leap.
This change would be done in three stages:
1. Make the change to the filesystem package to add /usr/libexec to
the hierarchy.
2. Add /usr/libexec to allowed prefixes in rpmlint-checks and remove
spec-cleaner rule that assumes /usr/lib == %_libexecdir.
3. Make the change to the rpm package to set %_libexecdir back to
/usr/libexec. This one will cause a fair bit of work to fix packages
that do the wrong thing one way or another with %_libexecdir.
What do you all think?
Best regards,
Neal

==== amarok ====
Version update (2.9.0 -> 2.9.70git.20190820T023444~600806141d)
- Add 0001-Fix-a-crash-when-running-amarok-l-path-to-file.patch (kde#410870)

- Refresh disable-web-plugins-by-default.patch
- Refresh flac_mimetype_bnc671581.diff
- Add amarok_mariadb.patch
- Replace some hardcoded package names with pkgconfig() ones.
- Tweak summary a bit: Amarok is not only for KDE.
- Remove GCC workaround for ancient and unsupported openSUSE versions.
==== babl ====
Version update (0.1.66 -> 0.1.72)
- Trim package descriptions on packages installed more rarely.
- Update to version 0.1.72:
+ Added handling for grayscale ICC profiles and gobject
introspection support.
+ Optimizations for many format conversions for u8, u16 and half
formats.
+ Fixed a crash for NANs in float to u8 conversions.
- Drop babl-add-sse2_cflags-to-CIE.patch: Fixed upstream.
- Add pkgconfig(gobject-introspection-1.0) BuildRequires: New
dependency.
- Following the above, package new sub-package
typelib-1_0-Babl-0_1.
- Update to version 0.1.70:
+ Build fixes making the meson build work with more
architectures.
- Changes from version 0.1.68:
+ Added Yu'v' (CIE 1976 UCS) color model.
+ Fixed a severe non-initialised memory issue - that kept us from
using fast paths for many babl spaces loaded from profile.
+ More fully symmetric conversions between associated and
separate alpha.
+ Added more converters, both SSE2 and non-SSE2 for
matrix-conversion between different RGB spaces.
+ Improvements to website/documentation; babl is now using the
terms associated alpha and separate alpha, all of:
nonpremultiplied-, premultiplied- and nonassociated- alpha are
now considered deprecated API.
+ HCY luminance is now relative to the RGB space used - no change
for sRGB related pixel formats. AVX2 acceleration for some
linear to float conversions.
- Add meson BuildRequires and macros, upstream switched to meson
only.
- Add pkgconfig(lcms2) BuildRequires: New dependency.
- Add babl-add-sse2_cflags-to-CIE.patch: Fix build for i586
(glgo#GNOME/babl!42, glgo#GNOME/babl#23).
==== calamaris ====
- Fix generation of reports with Perl >= 5.12 (boo#1145328)
+ 0001_perl.patch
==== ccache ====
Version update (3.7.1 -> 3.7.3)
- Update to version 3.7.3:
* The cache size (which is counted in ?used disk blocks?) is now correct on filesystems that use more or less disk blocks than conventional filesystems, e.g. ecryptfs or btrfs/zfs with transparent compression. This also fixes a related problem with ccache?s own test suite when run on such file systems.
Fixed a regression in 3.7.2 when using the compiler option ?-Werror? and then ?-Wno-error? later on the command line.
- Changes n version 3.7.2:
* The compiler option -gdwarf* no longer forces ?run_second_cpp = true?.
* Added verification that the value passed to the -o/--set-config option is valid.
* Fixed detection of precompiled headers in the depend mode.
* Bail out on too hard Clang option -ftime-trace.
