[opensuse-factory] Automake 1.15 in Leap 42.2

Hello list, i provided a package for the mallard language for openSUSE in [1]. I saw that it builds for Factory, but not for openSUSE Leap 42.2. The problem is, that a automake 1.15 is needed. which is provided by Factory but not for Leap (which provides 1.13). After checking [2] it looks like automake 1.15 is available since 05.01.15 and i'm wondering why it isn't available for Leap 42.2. Will the next Leap coming with autotools 1.15? [opensuse-factory] inslallation tumbleweed on amd ryzen

Hi folks, Recently I changeged my old phenom II/x4 processor for a ryzen 5/1500x and a gigabyte ab350-gaming board. After adding an entry in uefi my existing system, Leap 42,2 ,runs without any problem. After some configuration and testing I tried to install tumbleweed. I downloaded a fresh networkinstall iso an put it on a cd and installed without any problem. At the first boot I get a kernel panic imediate after reading motherboard and bios info. I have most recent bios with the april updates from amd marked "Update CPU AGESA 1004a". Any idea wat happened and should be done ??? [opensuse-factory] TW Stop automounting of USB HDD and Android Phone

Hi, Suddenly, I noticed today that current Tumbleweed 20170414 is not anymore capable to auto-mount USB drives as well as my Android (Nougat) internal storage. I remember clearly that some time ago both devices were correctly mounted as soon as plugged into one of the USB port of my Notebook and displayed and accesible through the file-manager. Anybody else figured out same issues? When dealing with the issue of google chrome sometimes inexplicably deleting its own repositry, the issue seems to be around a cron job the rpm creates to install its repository. The solution someone came up with was to use AppArmor to block the cron job. But this seems to be a major workaround for what I would have guessed would be a simple task: disabling cron jobs. [opensuse-factory] Heads up: llvm3_8 and llvm3_9 going away

Hi! Since llvm4 hit the Factory, I'd like to remove llvm3_8 and llvm3_9 (along with lldb3_8 and lldb3_9) from Factory to lower the maintenance burden. Hi As an example, this bug was posted on kde bugs in 2015, i and others have updated it from time to time but its never even changed status from "unconfirmed" - is there a process where we can post it to opensuse for them to perhaps push it upto kde? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345100 +++++++++++++++++ After editing the icons submenus with the KDE Menu Editor application, and saving, the submenus do not retain the new icon. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click on the widget, to get to the KDE Menu Editor 2. Create a new submenu 3. Give it an icon and some content 3. Click the save button Actual Results: The icon remains blank in the Application Launcher. [opensuse-factory] PrtScr failure in TW installer

Maybe it's intentional for lack of expected need compared to work involved to provide functionality, so I ask here before filing a bug. PrtScr worked as expected on the "Computer Role" screen. However, when I opened the "Computer Role" screen's help, PrtScr did nothing. I went back to the "Clock and Time Zone" screen, and its help screen also disabled the PrtScrn button. Hello, most Linux distributions are using GNOME by default, including: Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu starting with v18.04, RHEL and most of it's derivatives, and even SUSE Linux enterprise; so why openSUSE is using KDE by default? GNOME is more stable, has better support for Wayland and is extremely beautiful.
