[opensuse-factory] 4.9+ kernel failure on toshiba satellite

I have a dual boot toshiba laptop which will not run > 4.8 kernels. It began life as win 8 upgraded to 10 and shrunk to minimum. Then openSUSE Tumbleweed. System is uefi and boots correctly (afaics) with 4.8 kernels but all 4.9+ kernels immediately reboot after displaying "loading initial ramdisk". Adding "nomodeset" on boot line does not help. [opensuse-factory] Auto-Mute not working

Since the last update, there has been no sound output from my laptop speaker, but there is sound when the audio jack is plugged in. When I checked alsamixer, and turned off Auto-Mute Mode, the sound returns on my speaker, so this is clearly a software setting issue. Which setting should I set to get auto mute to work normally again, which is to switch-off the speaker with the audio jack plugged in, but turned on when it is removed?

Did you always want to know what the often very short and not very explanatory names of test suites on openQA test lists mean? For example "textmode-image"? Look no further! On the test overview page you can now click on the test row entry and a popup should tell you. Hi Panel hanging then desktop hanging, sometimes hangs on login, akonadi doesn't always start... [opensuse-factory] Missing program icons

Hi With this release all my desktop and panel icons have been replaced with what looks like a temporary icon in black and white and if you mouse over them, it gives a tooltip of "xxxxxx.desktop" e.g "opera.desktop" Widgets seem okay, the show desktop is still showing the correct icon. Any ideas?
