[opensuse-factory] Recovering after a BTRFS failure with Snapper

Hi, I've managed to hose my BTRFS root partition pretty badly, but in the end I was able to repair it and to boot from a snapper snapshot. Now the problem is that I can't rollback using snapper. The grub menu entry instructs me to use 'snapper rollback 301', where 301 is the id of the snapper snapshot. When I try to do that after booting it complains that Creating read-only snaphshot of current system. IO Error. Running snapper list shows that I have a no snapshots created ( only 'current' one is available ) and indeed /.snapshots is empty. How can I rollback to this state? [opensuse-factory] Translation of menus etc.: What's so difficult about it?

I updated KDE Plasma from 4.x to 5.2.2 today in a 13.2 VM. Just to take a look. The startmenu comprises 13 items. 3(!) of those are still in English and not in German (the default setting for that system). This is the same in almost every section I looked at: a mixture of German and English. I guess this will be similar with other languages. And Plasma 5 has been launched a year ago or so, I think. Now for my probably naive question: what the heck makes it so difficult or time-consuming to translate this stuff? It cannot be the amount of text - this simply cannot be so huge. And translating "Recent documents" (startmenu) into German is not really a challenge. They have done it before. Please give me a clue. [opensuse-factory] KDE Virtual desktops all identical

Recently i took a look at tumbleweed and milestone 42.1. I discovered that all virtual desktops are always identical. If change a wallpaper on one of the desktops all desktops change to the chosen wallpaper. Where is the setting to have different wallpapers on each desktop ? If i set the desktop to folderview and change "desktopsettings-location-specify a folder" the desktopfolder, it is always the same for all desktops. So also the icons and widgets are for all desktops identical. [opensuse-factory] [plasma 5] google with telepathy and kdeconnect; where are they?

Hi, First: I hope that this is the correct list to ask, given that kde is in the official TW repositories. I use plasma 5 on TW and kubuntu 15.04 and there are not too many differences in the way they work. But there are two things that I have on kubuntu and that I can't find/don't exist in TW: 1) kdeconnect: I have Version: 0.8b-1.2 from kde-extra installed. kdeconnect-cli finds my phone, but there is no system tray icon. If I remember correctly, the plasma 5 icon should be in v0.9, so I guess that I just have to wait until this version is officially released to have it in the standard TW repos. In Kubuntu there is an extra "kdeconnect-plasma" package that **I guess** adds the icons taking it from the git repository. Is there something similar in TW? 2) telepathy: with the upgrade to plasma 5 my facebook and google account stopped working. I remove them with the idea of re-adding them. I know that facebook removed external chat support, so in plasma 5 it has been removed. But I cannot find a way of adding a google/hangout account. On Kubuntu, under System Settings -> Online Accounts -> Create I have a button with "Google" written, that allows me to add a new account, also using two level autentication. I might just be missing some package on TW, but I have no idea what it could be. Any suggestion? Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers, Some of you might have been busy testing openSUSE Leap 42.1 Milestone 1, but rest assured, this does not mean Tumbleweed stopped rolling. During the last week, there have been 4 snapshots released (0724, 0725, 0727 & 0728). 26 was on Sunday, so nobody made any checkins... Seems weekends also have their effects :) As to the changes in those 4 snapshots, the more interesting ones are: * AppArmor 2.10 * Kernel 4.1.3 * Virtualbox 5.0 The thins boiling in Staging areas are: * LibreOffice 5.0 (openQA seems to have trouble typing text inside writer; something we never had an issue with LO 4.x. This is basically why LO5 is stuck * systemd 222: a crash has been fixed, that stopped a lot of builds. Currently, Staging:E looks 'reasonably' good, almost all current failures have a submit request pending, that will enter the staging area soon enough. [opensuse-factory] Request to add a versioned LLVM to openSUSE

Hello, I am maintaining the openSUSE package of Julia language [1] in my home repository that is eventually submitted to science repository. Julia is a dynamic programming language that uses an LLVM-based JIT compiler to improve its performance. The problem is that Julia developers does not want anymore to support every LLVM version. As it can be seen, it is not possible currently to build julia 0.3.10 (stable release) for either Factory or Tumbleweed due to the LLVM version (3.6.1). There was a very long talk about the case in Fedora [3] and it seems they are going to add llvm33 in the official repositories (they already have llvm34 due to a similar problem). Thus, is it possible to do the same with openSUSE? Another solution is to ship LLVM 3.3 (the officially supported version) together the Julia package. But I do not like this solution and I think that the llvm33 package might be useful for other purposes.
