[opensuse-factory] acpid requires systemd?

Can this be true? If so, why? Zypper won't let me upgrade acpid without breakage unless systemd is installed too. Hi, during our Hackweek at SUSE I spent a day or two to improve my tool to help finding the maintainer for software in Factory, which comes in handy for bugzilla-screening (getting bugs to the right people). You can use the tool at http://maintainer.zq1.de/ You can give it command names, full filepath, or package names (exact matches (including case) only) If you want to run or extend it, the code is all open on https://github.com/bmwiedemann/susepkginfo and the databases can be fetched from http://aw.zq1.de/db.suse/ The actual maintainer information comes from OBS, so is always current. Hello, I was told on the opensuse(a)opensuse.org list to post this here. Debian GNU/Linux has a program called Mandos, which allows computers with encrypted root filesystem to boot unattended as long as they are in the same LAN segment as the mandos server. If someone steals the computer or copies the storage of an ecrypted VM then they'll still have to enter the password on boot. It needs to install its client in the initrd of the encrypted machine, which is why it only works on Debian GNU/Linux for now. I feel like it would be a great addition to openSUSE GNU/Linux, but it needs a lot of changes in the boot process in order to work. Hello. Recently updated my Factory running workstation (x86_64, Xfce). Monospace font interval is increased badly. I'm sure, I use DejaVu Sans Mono as a monospace font. I choose 'monospace 9' in programs settings. Hello people, I am going to clean up the mess we have in Java namespace by removing all the experimental subprojects which were not updated. I've just installed nmap to test the ciphersuites offered by some webservers and the RPM install failed with an illegal instruction. That went away after several retries. When I now use nmpa I see sporadic "Illegal instruction" failures right after starting nmap. [opensuse-factory] libsigsegv build fail with kernel 3.18.3

Dear Kernel hackers, We're having an interesting case that needs urgent diagnosis in Factory (as it's a ring-1 package, it blocks anything else from entering, as the staging areas all show the same issue). The issue: libsigsegv fails the test suite since the kernel has been updated to 3.18.3 (before we had 3.18.1). The test suite is intentionally 'badly written' and is supposed to cause sigsegv for various cases. The current tests failing are around stack overflows. Up to kernel 3.18.1, those reported SIGSEGV back, but it seems nowadays we get a SIGBUS (which is not in scope of a library called libSIGSEGV to be caught). Are you aware of or can think of any change in the kernel that would cause this to happen? Or is the error the stackoverflow sample tries to catch, simply no longer meant to be caught by a sigsegv?
