[opensuse-factory] 12.3 -> 13.1 RC1 upgrade removes all online repositories ; expected?

Hi, I did a test install of 12.3 using a DVD iso. I applied all available patches for 12.3 and then upgraded using another DVD iso - openSUSE-13.1-DVD-Build0041-x86_64.iso to be more precise. During the installation I recall that I was asked for what to to with the currently defined repos, and I left the default option - Remove. After the installation, I was only left with the 'DVD' repo. That is unexpected to me since the DVD installation properly set up the online repos. Is this expected behaviour of a bug to file? [opensuse-factory] 2 questions about 13.1 RC1

Two (2) questions about 13.1 RC1 which I installed (clean install) on my wife's computer: 1. Where in blue-blazes does one find a USB stick when it is mounted in an USB port?! and 2. How does one login as another user - as root for instance - when either (a) booting the system or (b) when one goes to Logout and then login as, say, root?! BTW, the installation was treated to a full update so all files/apps are up-to-date. [opensuse-factory] man/man-db from April Factory (man-2.6.3.6.1.x86_64)

A problem I noticed some time ago, but didn't get around to looking into until recently -- was that root could no longer read man pages. They always came up "not found". Somehow root's env was slightly different than my standard user name -- but what worked: it turns out that man was a link: /usr/bin/man => mandb and the real man was at /usr/lib64/man-db/man. Restoring 'man' to /usr/bin (so no mandb was in the way) got rid of the problem. Seems like mandb isn't a good replacement for man -- NOTE... [opensuse-factory] Package for deletion: herqq

Hi List Mates, During the clean-up of the KDE repositories, we found the herqq package that is no longer in use by any of the KDE packages. Herqq is the HUpnp development libraries. Before submitting a delete request to Factory, I would like to inquire if there are any other packages depending on this particular library. I executed an osc whatdepenson and that came back blank. If other packages are using it somewhere, then maybe those people can take over the maintenance of herqq ? [opensuse-factory] empathy video call closes immediately

Hello opensuse-factory, thanks for your great work! I'm runnning opensuse Tumbleweed and I've experienced a problem with empathy. When I start a video call the chat windows appears and disappears after producing once the ringing sound. Empathy gives no shell output when this happens. The empathy-debugger output for gabble is attached to this email. This happens every time I try to call regardless of my contacts client and provider, so the problem seems to be on my side. Is this a bug or some stupid mistake of mine? Best regards, Christian Weinz

Hi All, Neard is an user space daemon to provide Near Field Communication (NFC) service, that runs on top of the NFC upstream kernel APIs and provides simple NFC oriented D-Bus API.
