There may be a regression from the openSUSE 12.3 kernel (probably 3.7) to the one used by Tumbleweed. The usb-storage drivers are maintinaed by Matthew Dharm <mdharm-usb(a)one-eyed-alien.net>. I suggest you contact him with a Cc to linux-usb(a)vger.kernel.org, usb-storage(a)lists.one-eyed-alien.net, and linux-kernel(a)vger.kernel.org and and state your problem, that it worked in kernel 3.7, but fails in the kernel 3.XX with the XX replaced by the version returned by 'uname -r'. Hi All, rubygem-gettext has been updated to version 3.0.1 in openSUSE:Factory, which seems to break "rake gettext:pack" with: rake aborted! cannot load such file -- gettext/utils AFACIT we need a newer rubygem-gettext_i18n_rails to accommodate recent changes in rubygem-gettext. Is anyone already looking at this? [opensuse-factory] Bison update in Factory

Hi all, seems a few days ago we got a new Bison checkin into Factory, which causes a bunch of fallouts (e.g. gstreamer-0.10, libgnomeprint are just some I came across so far). Not surprisingly, of course, those are 'no longer maintained' code bases by their respective upstreams. And I have, in all honesty, no idea about bison / flex / yacc syntax. Anybody who know about this stuff willing to step up and help out solving those issues? Thanks a lot! Dominique NB: I really don't think we should unfreeze Factory 2 months prior to a release. It makes stuff for devs focusing on 13.1 really nasty, as our devel projects start failing for stuff which we do not have to worry (yet) for 13.1. Hi, I've upgraded from 12.3 to 13.1 but unfortunately, yast won't load. It looks like the culprit is 2013-09-20 14:05:03 <3> e6510.site(15413) [Y2Ruby] binary/YRuby.cc(callClient):235 cannot require yast:cannot load such file -- fast_gettext at /usr/lib64/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require' Do we have any information on the new requirements for yast? [opensuse-factory] Hypersensitive mouse in 13.1 installer

I can barely use mouse when installing 13.1 - acceleration is so high that it makes it near to impossible to position. I do not know whether this is kernel or X issue, but it would be nice to slow it down a bit, the same as in 12.3. Anyone noticed it as well? Hi, I'd like to introduce a new submission for factory - jq. As described in a previous mail, jq [0] is a lightweight and flexible command-line JSON processor. jq is like sed for JSON data – you can use it to slice and filter and map and transform structured data with the same ease that sed, awk, grep and friends let you play with text. jq currently lives in utilities/jq [1] and I'll forward it to factory soon. [opensuse-factory] kdenetwork3 build issues

Hello guys, I was looking into our failures and kdenetwork3 fails for quite time with OOM. Possibly it is caused by gcc4.8. But I have not enough C++ foo to figure out how to fix this. We need it rolling so we can still keep kde3 stuff in 13.1 so anyone feels like sorting it out? Cheers Tom
