How can I stop this error I am receiving using tumbleweed? Hi everyone I have just installed this: openSUSE-DVD-Build0091-i586.iso Which do I have? factory or RC2? If I run zypper update it says Nothing to be done. even after a clean install from the DVD. Does it pull the stuff from 'net during install? t never has done before. Yast repos say: http://download.opensuse.org/update/12.2 Surely there have been some updates since RC2 was released. Is anyone successfully using a UMTS data stick with 12.2 (or Factory or 12.1 with kernel 3.4 or later for that matter)? I always get pppd[7116]: unrecognized option 'wwan0' since that is what NetworkManager now passes to pppd instead of ttyUSBX and failed to find a way to change that on the user side. I have two kernel modules that are built in OBS. Up to and including 12.1 the build works fine. A while back, the build for both Factory and 12.2 started to fail with this error: /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/vmic_enable-0.10/obj/default/vmic_enable.c:42:24: fatal error: asm/system.h: No such file or directory So, I checked to see if such a file exists. I would like to make debug information for libraries we make. Of course, I can compile and link the libraries this way, and install them. But I see that for openSUSE libraries, a better method is used: Libraries are built with the debug information. This is then stripped out, saved, and packaged for use by programs such as gdb. Hello, I don't need help with these issues, and i didn't search for any possible bug reports. Just a few notes about (more or less negative) prominences. Though i can handle/workaround/live with these issues, they might influence the beginners user experience in a negative way. I relate to a usual installation with RC-12.2 and KDE as desktop. That makes me insecure: Don't i need it anymore? Or do i have to replace it with another repository? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Thunderbirds message list (at least) the date column shows the wrong sort direction. More exact: It shows the sort direction of the *previous* shown mail folder. It shows this wrong sort direction until i hover it with the mouse. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In system settings (window behaviour / moving) i miss the options to not display the window content when moving/resizing. But when i click the help button, these options are still listed in the then shown KDE Help Center. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I want to set the digital clock (in the panel) to 24h view. When i now want to close libre-offfice per right-click in the task-bar, it doesn't work. More exact: Nothing happens. Reason: I left open an "open file" dialogue (which i cannot see first, because current focus is on another program). I think by myself: Why isn't there any hint about that when pressing right-click/close? Or at least: Why isn't libre-office focused at that moment, so that i get attention to the "blocking" dialogue? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regularely (1x/hour?) there appears the following notify: "Authorization failed. Failed to obtain authentication." But in the notify mentioned above, there is no hint about that at all. Hi After the first boot, any user can use LXDM to lopgin. upon logging out, the user is sent to the cli console. init 3 and init 5 from that point presents the LXDM screen again but no one can login. Entereing the password throws one back at the LXDM screen. I have switched to lightdm and that works OK. Any ideas? Anyone else? The main difference between the approaches is the use of a separate key database in shim, whereas we are currently planning on using a built-in key and the contents of the firmware key database. ...
