Can anyone print with any kind of Canon? This has always been unnecessarily painful since "upgrading" from a reliable old LaserJet to a Canon MF, but it was easier prior to 11.3, when printing became totally impossible for nearly a year until Canon released a driver update compatible with post-11.2 Cups. All, tcpflow was recently added to factory and httrack is currently under review. tcpflow is similar to tcpdump, but it segregates the packets into sockets/flows, one date file per flow. https://sourceforge.net/projects/tcpflow/ httrack is an webpage copier. Let's understand the case in common sense and technically. the common sense is … [View More]infinality comes after 2010. so at least the algorithm it use is not patented. or its author goes into jail before us. technically, when its early release, I have to manually add the codes into freetype source code to remake an openSUSE patch...it's a very bad memory...but luckily I found its author just modify freetype's sub-pixel rendering a little bit for some fonts. eg render-y-direction-only instead of x and y. there's no new algorithm introduced, its just a freetype's autohint technology variant. this patch only applies on specific sets of fonts. if your fonts are not in the list. you are actually using freetype. freetype and most of the distros dont include it by default.is because its fonts list focus on proprietary fonts from MS and Apple which dont be on linux distros thus not the type of freetype and linux distros. it's nothing related to patent. since freetype also starts using its autohint in our own freetype package. And the color stuff patent didnt exist in infinality at all if I remember it correctly. because I dont think I saw any other color except for the common word RGB in its source.will check it again tomorrow. Anyway in short you guys can take it as a patch set that patch nothing to freetype using the same technology freetype uses. because the English.fonts it supports are mainly the long known bad ones like Arial in fontconfig tweak world. you have already have better ones like liberation or google.fonts. unless you decided to use Apple's fonts like monaco. But it will improve a lot for CJK fonts. as you may know, we have a lot of characters. each of them needs design. so open source community are in fact not able to provide good fonts. And free rendering solution always be bad on proprietary fonts. Therefore I would like to submit the package to openSUSE Factory. It attempts to mimic the original game as closely as possible while extending it with new … [View More]features. Together with the package openttd, there are two data packages and one building tool: - openttd with subpackages openttd-dedicated (no SDL dependency) and openttd-data (noarch) - openttd-opengfx (required graphics) - openttd-openmsx (optional midi music) - nml (building tool for opengfx) (all 4 packages use license GPL-2.0) There is a third data package openttd-opensfx, but this does not fulfill the license requirements and so can't go to Factory (Creative Commons Sampling Plus 1.0, which means basically no commercial use). This is no big deal, like music sound is just optional and you can easily be downloaded ingame via the content service. Players get notified if they start openttd the first time. Some upstream developers of these dependent packages are also member of the OpenTTD dev team. This ensures that dependencies always work together. Also upstream has a very professional release workflow, which makes it easily maintainable for distro packager. There is a yearly major release on April 1st (no fool) and around 4 to 5 minor security/bugfix releases (http://security.openttd.org) Also there are security patches for older major release branches to support LTS distros, which do not update main releases during same distro. Usually it is very recommend to use the same versions as upstream to keep compatible with Network Multiplayer Games. But as openSUSE has a very short lifetime, this should be no issue. Development project is games. openttd is part of included there for ages. In order to ensure openttd and its support packages build on Factory, I created a temporary project: home:openttdcoop:Factory There you can find the 4 packages I submit to Factory. I heavily reworked the packages to make it "Factory capable" and didn't yet submit those changes to games. (review welcome) Currently, I don't submit testing releases (beta or RC) to games and keep those in home:openttdcoop. If openttd will be accepted in Factory, this might change. My next steps are now waiting for some comments here (around a week). If there won't be any arguments against submitting, I will submit openttd, openttd-opengfx, openttd-openmsx and nml from games to Factory. Hi there guys. Since about three weeks I have been fighting against this wireless adapter to work well on 12.2 RC2. Of course I have tried all published solutions such as the power management and the N feature related one. Searching more deeply over the net I have found that latest kernel version should have fixed this, to be exactly since 3.4.4. Hi RC2 NFS server and client idmapd is in the same domain and running at both ends with GSS, krb5 security. On the client, files created in the share are owned by the correct UID nobody as GID. Back on the server, the same file appears correctly mapped with both UID ad GID being correct. Doesn't happen with 12.1 server/client Can anyone reproduce this? Unfortunately, version "Factory" is no longer available for 12.2 (only RC1, RC2 and Final), and no other product (like openSUSE 12.3) was created where bugs against Factory can be reported.
