I have two xen hosts - host1 is 32bit, quad xeons, 16Gb RAM, running 12.1+updates, kernel 3.1.9-1.4-xen. (I'm pretty certain I've built xen from source on this one). host2 is 64bit, quad xeons, 32Gb RAM, also 12.1+updates, kernel 3.3.0-2-xen. Tumbleweed started to update packages to KDE4.8.2, but this version seems to only partially build. For instance, kdebase4 is only available as a source package for version 4.8.2. Can somebody please check what's going on? I really don't want to wreck my installation with a mixed KDE install if possible. On 3 x86_64 systems:- * rebooting new kernel with systemd and plymouth. * nouveau loaded and I needed to install the proprietary nvidia 295.40 after a zypper dup had overwritten /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so. * plymouth progress stops. * Alt-F1 keyboard inactive for login but CTRL-ALT-DEL works. * Only login access is via ssh from another box. * If there is no xorg.conf nouveau gets loaded. Recently I have tried using Asus Sabertooth 990FX and Gigabyte 990FX motherboards and experienced problems. They both need IOMMU disabled in the BIOS in order to boot. The Sabertooth will work with the nouveau driver but the proprietary NVidia driver won't work as the NVidia card is detected as a AMD Radeon. Hi! When I first updated the system to 11.4 I was very much impressed with Yast package manager speed compared to 11.3. But after later updates the speed decreased very much. Now Yast on my 12.1 desktop works many times slower than on my 11.4 laptop!
