[opensuse-factory] Problem with starting firefox

Since a longer time I have to manually delete ~/.mozilla/firefox/0jb6f6e2.default/compatibility.ini before I can start firefox. IIRC, this has been so since I upgraded to openSuSE factory for 11.3 or to firefox version 3. Any idea how to fix it? I can't believe that this happens to all of you... [opensuse-factory] Need help fixing gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad, what is cog?

Hi, multimedia:libs gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad is failing to build libgstcog for everything except 11.2. The ./config output says for factory standard :- configure: *** checking feature: Cog plugin *** configure: *** for plug-ins: cog *** checking for COG... no no configure: *** These plugins will not be built: cog but the 11.2 build finds cog. My question is what provides cog. I've searched 11.2 packages and can only come up with discogs from packman and google brings up a cog package which looks multimedia related. I'm double posting to packaging and factory. Apologies if i barking under the wrong tree... For i colleage of mine i had to install a vps with elgg. I noticed that there was a recent build on the OBS of elgg, located under: 528 /srv/distro/repo/Education/openSUSE_11.2/src/elgg-0.9.2-4.1.src.rpm 4384 /srv/distro/repo/Education/openSUSE_11.2/noarch/elgg-0.9.2-4.1.noarch.rpm 4528 /srv/distro/repo/Education/openSUSE_Factory/src/elgg-0.9.2-4.30.src.rpm 3760 /srv/distro/repo/Education/openSUSE_Factory/noarch/elgg-0.9.2-4.30.noarch.rpm However, when looking at the elgg site, the 1.00 version is already two years old. Current version is 1.7. http://elgg.org/download.php In case the Edu-maintainer is not around here, can someone pass on the suggestion to do a modest update? Sure, i was told that installation of the package is supposed to be very easy, but for maintenance/upgrade reasons, i rather use suSE-build packages. [opensuse-factory] What happened to orc's submit request?

Hi, schroedinger is in factory and requires liborc but orc isn't in factory, there was a thread discussing this but orc is still sitting in multimedia:libs. Did somebody submit it to factory and it was turned down for some reason? Is there a way to turn OFF the irritating automatic full screen function? I have noticed when you move an image it like to go full screen way to easy. Also I have noticed if once it is moved then back the mouse towards the bottom of the image keeps it from jumping into full screen mode. Hi, Just a quick heads up from your security team... I did some adjustments to hostkey handling. First, we now display a "visual" fingerprint of the hostkey. This is to have better visual queues on whether hosts known to you changed or not (there will still be an actual compare in the background and a big fat warning). An example looks like: RSA key fingerprint is a3:8e:5f:e9:5a:b9:cf:1a:07:2d:ca:75:52:b1:6d:b0. +--[ RSA 1024]----+ | o | | * | | E o | | o . | | S o | | . + O | | + * . | | o + = | | ..+.+oo | +-----------------+ Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? Secondly, we have switched the .ssh/known_hosts file to "hashed hostkeys". This means, the known_hosts file no longer lists the hosts or ip numbers in readable form, but in hashed form. This change is to avoid that worms, if they ever infect your account, to use this file to find out "known hosts" to which to try to login next and so try to stop a worm infection of e.g. your servers.
