[opensuse-factory] Netiso MS3: Not all needed modules present in repo.

Hi, I updated to MS3, using zypper dup, rebooting complained about two missing kernelmodules: result no desktop starting up, no tty. Fixing the issue using the Netiso leaded to ncurses and trying to load the installmodules 3 times. Not possible to install or repair. 'an error occured'.... All went well untill the install should start: ti connecting to the server, downloading the modules. Than few modules missing, and stop. Rescue did work, but i did not know the commands to get it doing what i needed. Luckily i have a still working 11.1 install. Any ideas as how to get the missing modules installed, and getting the system booted? (amd modules and pata are missing, caught in a glimps) Unfortunately i am not able to get to the bootlog from this install, i will try to get the right names of the missing modules. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball, aka M9. Especially since milestone 5 seemed to get a flurry of updates at the last minute and I have no idea how stable/usable it is. [opensuse-factory] The latest 11.2 kotd - can I file a bugzilla

All, I was curious about the 2.6.34-rc3-7 kernel, so I installed it from obs for 11.2 on to my 11.2 workstation. I just did the kernel yesterday, but I had previously upgraded to kde 4.4 After the upgrade, my monitor does not come back from sleeping. Its happened twice so far. ie. when I try to wake up the monitor I get an error display saying the frequency is out of range. The only specific change was the kernel I'm pretty sure and I'm testing that theory now by booting the standard kernel with excatly the same user space. Is this something I should create a bugzilla for, or is it likely to be a compatibility issue between such a new kernel and 11.2 user space. [opensuse-factory] Factory standard glib2 %post script problem.

Hi, I don't know if anybodies reported a bug or if it's a transient problem but when build service build is installing glib2-2.24.0-1.1 there's an error output :- /usr/bin/gio-querymodules-64: error while loading shared libraries: libglib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory warning: %post(glib2-2.24.0-1.1.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 127 Maybe this will help fix something before it's broken. [opensuse-factory] Udev rule and the xorg.conf.d missing on LiveCD?

Hi. I don´t wanna overload Bugzilla, so i´m writing this mail at first in according to bug 592193, when LiveCD finally boots in VMware, but installation still hangs. As Stefan Dirsch wrote in comment 19, possible reason is udev rule and the xorg.conf.d snippet are simply missing on the LiveCD. Could you take a look at it? I tried factory Gnome LiveCD, build 0552 and KDE LiveCD, build 0553. [opensuse-factory] DICE - Desktop/Server integration

Hi list, Maybe wrong list to ask these questions, but yet. The DICE package for 11.3 M4 still holds version 0.1.9. Is there ongoing developement on DICE? According to http://en.opensuse.org/DICE the DICE Manager has a login feature (auth-agent) nautilus-dice is a nautilus extension that exposes shared document (Teaming) actions in the native file browser. At least DICE is a openSUSE project and available for the latest openSUSE, contrary to the proprieatary Novell Client for Linux which is a delaying factor for deployment (still not available for openSUSE 11.2). What I wonder is if DICE could be extended to get a generic, simplified/automatical login and file mount for openSUSE clients networked with openSUSE/SLES/OES2/NOWS servers? Rgds, Terje J. [opensuse-factory] text not anti aliased in Firefox

Hi, after the latest update, some fonts doesn't seem to be antialiased any more in Firefox?
