[opensuse-factory] What happened to orc's submit request?
Hi, schroedinger is in factory and requires liborc but orc isn't in factory, there was a thread discussing this but orc is still sitting in multimedia:libs. Did somebody submit it to factory and it was turned down for some reason? Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

After doing a bit of research, I see that gstreamer bad plugins are switching to orc from liboil as well, more reasons why orc should be in factory. I've created request 37309 to factory, hope it makes it in otherwise schroedinger and possibly gstreamer-plugins-bad will be broken in 11.3. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

orc has no maintainer or bugowner set. Until one is set, chance of acceptance into Factory is slim. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

It's already in factory, the lack of link from multimedia:apps to factory lead me to believe it wasn't and I couldn't find a pending sr. It seems that a link to factory is no longer created when a new package is accepted, I created one with linkpac for lilypond. Thanks for the reminder about bugowner, I hadn't set myself as bugowner for xsynth-dssi which is waiting to be accepted to factory. I'm already in the maintainer list, do I need to add myself again? A bugowner is always helpful to set there, yes. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Check the submit requests, e.g.: $ osc rq list -a openSUSE:Factory orc 36732 State:accepted By:autobuild When:2010-04-08T01:09:48 submit: multimedia:libs/orc -> openSUSE:Factory From: vuntz(new) Descr: New package, replacing liboil. Needed for new gstreamer & friends So, it's in since 8 hours now... I didn't see a link in the multimedia:libs package and jumped to conclusions, new packages should get a link after submission to factory, otherwise the diff on the webclient doesn't work. Ignore all the other noise I made, I've revoked my request. It got accepted yesterday :-) Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
So will this be in the 'final' M5 for release tomorrow, or the next release?

If it builds successfully, it will be in Milestone 5. Every checkin until now will go into Milestone5 - but only if it builds ;) There are some packages that do not build since dependencies of it did not go in yet, e.g. pino is in but libgee is not in.
