[opensuse-factory] Check installation media gives me result md5sum wrong

Hi. I have a problems with md5sums. I downloaded both Gnome and KDE4 LiveCD's (from ftp and via torrent also) and checked md5 in MD5 Check application. Results are md5checksums match. But if i run "Check installation media" from LiveCD's, result is md5 is wrong. Media's are launched from iso via VMware. Nevertheless i burned iso's and tried them in notebook HP NX 6110, but unsuccessfully. Gnome LiveCD doesn't include install icon and CPU runs at 100%. KDE LiveCD crashed after Greeter the first time, and the second time it didn't launch installation. They don't work correctly. What can be wrong? I really don't understand, how is that possible that md5 check gives me correct result, but "Check installation media" doesn't. It's totally blocking situation for me, because i'm not able to try/install M6 on my hardware. Please any hints. As from 11.2 there will be an 18 months support instead of the 24 previously. First let me say I think it is a pity that it went for 2 version + 2 months instead of 3 version + 2 months, which would have been 26 months or just over two years. However, the pill could be a lot less bitter if there is a good and easy way to upgrade. Something like `apt-get upgrade`. The simple way is not possible, as ext4 module is not loaded by default: # mount /dev/sdb3 /mnt/112 mount: unknown filesystem type 'ext4' The 11.1 has development support for ext4 which is visible from: # grep -i ext4 /boot/config-2.6.27.29-0.1-pae CONFIG_EXT4DEV_FS=m CONFIG_EXT4DEV_FS_XATTR=y CONFIG_EXT4DEV_FS_POSIX_ACL=y CONFIG_EXT4DEV_FS_SECURITY=y So, you have to load ext4dev module first: # modprobe ext4dev # mount /dev/sdb3 /mnt/112 # <no complains, which means operation is done> If you want to make that support permanent, there is few ways. The simplest to explain is to add 'modrobe ext4dev' to the /etc/init.d/boot.local script. WARNING: ext4dev is considered experimental module in kernel 2.6.27, that is used in openSUSE 11.1. Hey Group; It maybe a defective DVD or something else but Milestone 6 DVD keep asking for a CD1. As the next openSUSE now defaults to ext4, I'm wondering. I don't understand what I gain/miss with ext4/ext3. Is the benefit significant compared with ext3 and how? Is ext4 better for hard disks, is it perhaps much better for ssd? The price of solid state drives is coming down, and since I know nothing, I'm tempted. Should I go ext4/ssd? Should I go ext4/hdd? What do I miss if I stay ext3? Or should I go back to reiserfs? I never had an issue with it and the enterprice versions default to it. [opensuse-factory] Wrong colors in VLC

No idea if factory is the right place, probably not, but please guide me :) Current vlc and/or its mozillaplugin acts in a strange manner. Reverted is not quite it but something I am not able to describe correctly.
