[opensuse-factory] Multimedia: Which external repositories to use?

I know it's a bit OT, but as a factory user I'm kind of wondering which packages to use for optimal multimedia experience on OpenSUSE factory. And yes, I'm within the legal boundaries of the country where I live ;). I'd rather use only the factory packages, as all the "usual suspects" (Guru, Packman) are still at 10.1. Normally I've used to download the non-OSS dvd iso and burn the DVD for installation. Now I though to try the Internet installation according to http://en.opensuse.org/Development_Version#Internet_Installation First I downloaded and burned the DVD-i386-mini.iso on a CDR. But what is the correct ftp address to enter according to # 4. Hi, I went ahead and did an upgrade. It appeared to come off without incident. I'm not pleased that Firefox was switched out from under me when the themes and extensions are not yet ready. The new TabMix Plus gloms all my windows into a single, overloaded window when it restores a session, e.g. This is quite onerous. I may have found a bug of the kde screen saver. when the "k" menu is open, the screen saver don't start and the computer is never protected. Hi, I've never done an upgrade installation before on any of my SuSE installations. This time, because I installed Alpha5 on a brand new machine that is not (yet) mission critical, I was thinking of trying an upgrade. My question is: How do I do this? Do I use the YaST "System Update" from the running system? Do I boot from the Beta1 DVD and install over the existing system? Something else? Pointers to information resources are welcome, of course. I've set up my usual scheme for installing over NFS, which is to loop-mount the 5 CD-isos and export those mount-points for NFS. hi all ! Sorry for the stupid question, but I really want to know the direction of this idea. Generally, I believe in order to make newbies feel "at home", so they could learn Linux easier. Advanced ppl don't really need patterns (but it saves time even to advanced ppl)...
