et al:
I am a "non-literate" end user of linux products . . . right now
booted in Leap 15.5 . . . which I do "like" and would like to stay
with it. Right now I would want to do "live" testing, because I now
have 7 bare metal installs in my '12 Mac Pro, and that seems to be the
limit on what TW's grub/update-bootloader can handle. When I had 8
installs it would take an hour to run through that command. Now with
7 it takes a few minutes or less.
But, having said that, I do like "alpha" editions and I do file bug
reports when problems show up. I did some QA testing for lubuntu some
years back, but that process is too rigid for this old guy. Happy to
check out a live iso of whatever is coming up in ALP and mess about
with it, and provide feedback here, for instance. Nothing of value to
offer beyond that.
