How to branch-checkout a broken package after Factory removal?

Hello! I want to fix the sawfish package in the X11:windowmanagers project but since the package has been removed from Factory, the development project currently contains a dangling link. Checking out the package with "osc co" works but not branch-checking out, at least I haven't found an easy way. Can someone point me to the standard way of doing that without having to have permissions for the X11:windowmanagers project? I already have a new sawfish package that builds in Factory. Adrian

Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers, The year is slowly coming to an end, and a lot of people start to disappear on holiday breaks. But as we’re already used from previous years, this has never stopped Tumbleweed. Same this year: week 51 has seen another 5 snapshots being published (1212, 1213, 1214, 1215, and 1216). The main changes contained in those snapshots were: * GStreamer 1.18.2 * systemd 246.7 * Linux kernel 5.9.14 * KDE Frameworks 5.77.0 The items planned to be shipped in the next snapshots contain these items: * KDE Applications 20.12 * Linux kernel 5.10 * Mozilla Firefox 84.0 * icu 68.1: breaks a couple of builds (Staging:I) * brp-check-suse: a bug fix in how it detected dangling symlinks (it detected them, but did not fail as it was supposed to) * permissions package: prepares for easier listing, while supporting a full /usr merge * RPM 4.16: still a few packages build failures (Mozilla *, openblas) * Ruby 3.0: mainly YaST not ready for that switch. We are likely to stay on 2.7 as ‘default ruby’ version, but add rubygem packages for Ruby 3.0 by end of the year * First experiments with rpmlint 2.0 started in Staging:M * openssl 3.0: currently alpha 9 in Staging:O Cheers, Dominique

Bluetooth modules loaded without Bluetooth devices

I made the last update to Tumbleweed snapshot 20201212 the last weekend. Today I got a system crash. After restarting, the sound is reproduced with noise and distortion. I made a "lsmod", and surprisingly I see: ecdh_generic 16384 1 bluetooth rfkill 28672 5 bluetooth ecc 36864 1 ecdh_generic But my computer has no Bluetooth devices! After blacklisting the modules bluetooth, ecdh_generic and bnep, and restarting, the system works fine again. Package janus-gateway in Factory

HI! I'm currently playing with janus-gateway. This was already packaged in network:jangouts but is not in Factory. Given that the versatile and flexible janus-gateway is nowadays used in lots of WebRTC/SIP setups, especially useful during the pandemic, it should IMHO provided to a broader community via Factory. But where to put the devel repo? network:jangouts seems not to receive that much attention, especially I ran into an issue with outdated local package libwebsockets in this repo. Ciao, Michael.
