[opensuse-factory] New package: python-pyOCD

Hi, I have submitted pyOCD for inclusion in Factory: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/596738 pyOCD is an on-chip debugger tool for Arm mbed microcontroller boards. An alternative, more generic tool we already have in Factory is OpenOCD. I recall that someone had been maintaining a python3-pyOCD package in the past, but that appears to have disappeared as a result of the new singlespec packaging approach. [opensuse-factory] Leap 15 Beta ~/.xprofile and ~/.Xresources not read on X-login?

All, I've noticed in Leap 15 Build 187.1 that neither my ~/.xprofile or ~/.Xresources files are being read on X-login. I have having to manually $ xrdb ~/.Xresources and manually xset the typematic rate/delay and to silence the bell that would normally be set by my ~/.xprofile. I know there can be some variation in case used by different distros. Are these files source under different names, or is there a better place to set my custom Xresource and xprofile settings? -- David C. [opensuse-factory] New package python-ntfy for Factory

Hi, I have prepared the package python3-ntfy and would like to contribute it to Factory. > ntfy brings notification to your shell. It can automatically provide > desktop notifications when long running commands finish or it can send > push notifications to your phone when a specific command finishes. The package uses devel:languages:Python as its devel project. Please not that there are some optional dependencies which are currently not in Factory, so no all methods of sending notifications documented on the Projects Github site will work. The application gracefully falls back and doesn't even offer those in this case, though. Desktops notifications and general web-hooks do work. I wanted to start with the essential packages and iterate the scope once the groundwork is done. [opensuse-factory] 15-Beta 187.1 - Gtk3 FileChooser Opens Full-Screen-Height in IceWM - can't be resized in VM

When installing a Custom minimal X-Window install with IceWM as the default desktop, and geany as an editor, attempting to open a file invokes the Gtk+3 FileChooser which is display almost Full-Screen (on 1382x864) and is displayed Full-Height and cannot be resized when accessed in VM (virtualbox --headless). Alt+F8 is unresponsive to resize the dialog and the resize handle cannot be reached as the FileChooser is hidden behind the IceWM taskbar (you can reach the resize left-right, but not up-down because you are over the taskbar at that point) It looks like another Gtk+3 SNAFU. -- David C. All, The dependencies on gnome-settings-daemon are totally hosed. When you attempt to simply install the settings-daemon, it pulls in over 600M of crap totally unnecessary and unrelated to the settings daemon e.g.. [opensuse-factory] rpmlint-checks: I: polkit-untracked-privilege will become an error

Hello, the SUSE security team recently decided to turn the rpmlint check "polkit-untracked-privilege" into an error. Currently this is only an informational message. If you get messages like these in your package: gvfs-backends.x86_64: I: polkit-untracked-privilege org.gtk.vfs.file-operations (no:no:auth_admin_keep) then they will become an error with 10.000 extra badness in the future, as is the case with other polkit related errors. This affects all packages in openSUSE:Factory. The rationale behind that is that even though these polkit rules seem harmless (only locally logged in users with admin privileges can acquire the polkit privilege), they can expose security issues. This is because the correct enforcement of the polkit policy is depending on the individual package's polkit adaption. Therefore such packages must go through a review process with the security team. You can trigger this process by opening a bug against security-team(a)suse.de and adding an AUDIT prefix to the bug summary. [opensuse-factory] KDE Volume control resets volume on each pause

Morning, the issue sounds peanuts, but is quite annoying if you have a device where the maximum volume is quite low (in this case: My T520 Laptop): In the system settings one can set the maximum volume for output to 150%. If you start a stream you can increase the volume in the KDE volume control (menu bar) to lets say 150%. Pause the stream: stays on 150%. Play the stream again: Volume reduced to 100%. So you have to pump it up each time you start/stop a stream or audio output. This bug was just introduced in one of the last TW updates , probably between 20180222 and 20180324 Anyone else noticed this?
