The only workaround I can find for now is to start LibreOffice with the following environment variable (or add it /etc/environment): SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen libreoffice All the other options (SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 | SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk | SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3) all cause the high CPU usage. FYI, the last snapshot of 42.3 beta makes all extension menus unreadable because the selection fields are invisible. You may confirm by running the latest FF and noscript extension and try to alters settings. (Running Nvidia graphic card).
