Hello,
I have a package that is in unresolvable state because of this message :
have choice for postgresql-devel needed by libpreludedb-devel:
postgresql-devel postgresql94-devel postgresql93-devel
I don't know the full process but can someone select one
postgresql-devel for Leap42.2 ?
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Leap:42.2:Staging:adi:12
Thanks
Regards
Thomas

Hi
To save my sanity, is there a way, in tumbleweed, to either
1. Restore kdepim to 5.2.x to get rid of reliance on qtwebengine
2. Install nvidia and lock kernel/nvidia from updates?
3. Any other solution that still uses kmail/kontact.
For me, kmail stays alive for a few seconds or upto a minute or two. If i can
get kmail up long enough to write/reply to an email, its doesn't crash. It all
seems to be happening when clicking on a new folder or email to read and
sometimes it just crashes when left alone for a while.
This bug report seems to point to a threading issue - https://
bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=997171

Ian

<rant>
I installed 42.2 Beta 2 with the Xfce window manager. With that I get,
without me asking for it, tracker 1.8.0. This program is launched, without me
asking for it, to burn up cpu cycles and thrash disks indexing all my files
including videos and photos. It is of no use to me - I do not need such
"help".
I understand tracker is associated with Gnome, which I did not chose at
installation time.
When I remove tracker, Yast tells me that I have to remove Gnome's Brasero
as well - ok, so Brasero goes, but why must a CD burner call for indexing
of every CD it sees?
</rant>
Could tracker _not_ be included with Xfce installations? The users of Xfce are
looking for something simple and lightweight. For myself I install locate
(package mlocate) which does all the indexing I need.

Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers,
‘The weed is tumbling’ – with a set of five snapshots in week 39 (0924,
0925, 0926, 0927 and 0928). If we keep this up and manage to improve
just a little bit, there is nothing stopping us from daily snapshots.
What did all those snapshots bring us:
* Mesa 12.0.3
* GNOME 3.22 late bloomers (some non-core apps often are released a
bit late)
* irssi 0.8.20 – CVE-2016-7044 and CVE-2016-7045
* Mozilla Firefox 49.0.1
* bind – CVE-2016-2776
* Linux Kernel 4.7.5
* openssl 1.0.2j
And some things many of you have been waiting for are in the staging
areas:
* Freetype 2.7 – some people actually started working on the fixes.
THANKS!
* Qt 5.7 – It seems to shape up. I think it won’t be much longer
* KDE Plasma 5.8 is being prepared. We hope for a timely integration
* Mono 4.6
* Bash 4.4 – Fixes for logrotate and dracut required
With the weekend ahead, some of us will make use of the time to fix
more issues, some will just relax. Whatever it is you do: have a lot of
fun
Cheers,
Dominique
I previously installed openQA in a ppc64le host as per doc in (1) and
was able to trigger jobs with the /usr/share/openqa/script/client
BUT this is only working for session of "_openqa-worker" id
If I try to issue the command with my default owner id, then it failed
as reported in (2)
What is expected setup to have an id to be authorized to use the client
script ?

Hi,
I wanted to play a bit with vagrant and currently it's not possible on
Tumbleweed. Vagrant 1.8.1 (currently available in TW) is not compatible
with virtualbox 5.1. Support was added in version 1.8.5 [1]. This
version is available in Virtualization repository.
Is there any reason, why it's not submitted to Tumbleweed?

I do not know if you are aware of this email exchange but it may help you.

It's crashing in nouveau:
/usr/lib64/dri/nouveau_dri.so(+0x437f56)[0x7f669a9a7f56]
/usr/lib64/dri/nouveau_dri.so(+0x4380cd)[0x7f669a9a80cd]

/usr/lib64/dri/nouveau_dri.so(+0x3163f8)[0x7f669a8863f8]
/usr/lib64/libGL.so.1(+0x40c02)[0x7f66b52e5c02]
There are known problems (crashes) when using QtWebEngine (which kdepim 16.08
uses for message display) on nouveau.
See https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=997171
Installing the nvidia driver should fix it, or run kontact with
"LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 kontact" (see http://www.mesa3d.org/envvars.html).
You could set that environment variable system or account wide, but then all
applications (including Plasma, the desktop) would use software OpenGL
rendering, so probably not a good idea either.
Kind Regards,
Wolfgang
