Shouldn´t repos align publish timing? Proposal: Packman and other repos should delay being published until at least the main OSS repo is rebuild and online on all mirrors. Is this doable? Interesting I get the same one for a package built on obs... but all is fine if I build by hand on my machine. I simply assumed that the factory is not published since the gcc 5 changes. [opensuse-factory] pinentry-qt4 asking for gpg passphrase 2nd time

Hi, I'm using mutt and while I'm sending a mail I'm getting asked two times when sending the first mail to enter my pass phrase. That has not been the case in the past. Is this a side effect of KDE 5? The system in question got initially installed as openSUSE 13.2 from DVD and later switched to Factory. [opensuse-factory] steam package-requirements need to be updated

Dear list, since Tumbleweed moved to a new pulseaudio version some weeks ago ALL unity3D-engine games on steam refuse to launch through steam. A WORKAROUND by Tak is described here https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/3888 Is this the right place to reach the steam.rpm maintainer to fix this? steam.rpm just needs to require alsa-devel and alsa-devel-32bit packages - which will load the systems libasound2 and fix the games. Tak writes in full: "I installed an OpenSUSE Tumbleweed VM and was able to reproduce the issue. It appears to be a crash in the audio stack due to mismatches between the steam runtime and the host OS. (Related to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/2924) PulseAudio detection fails because of mismatches between the system and steam-runtime: pulseaudio vs. liborc libgcrypt vs. libgpg-error Then FMOD selects ALSA, and the crash occurs in libasound2, apparently because of incompatibility between the library in steam-runtime and the host driver. [opensuse-factory] menu item that launches web interface program starts 2 browsers

Hi Due to the fact the current printing system cannot detect my printer connected via USB, i check it again every time there is a new version of CUPS to see if there its fixed. I use CUPS Manage Printing (web interface) menu option which is configured as "desktop-launch http://localhost:631/" in the menu editor. I've checked the configuration in "systemsettings5/Default Applications/Web Browser" and its configured as "open http and https URLs in an application based on the contents of the URL." So when i select the menu item i, it starts up both Firefox and konqueror but firefox actually loads the CUPS page and konqueror stops loading and goes away (it never displays anything). Any reason why it should launch both? Hi Lars, I have checked on my machine and I do not have any -qt4 installed. I use the ncurses... What I see is the following I start mutt... I put the passphrase all seems fine. I email, I may be asked about the passphrase again. If I email again immediately after no passphrase is asked for... after few minutes... I did not check the time, I get asked again the passphrase when sending a message. [opensuse-factory] Recent "zypper dup" against Tumbleweed borks KDE5 Plasma

Hello Factory / Tumbleweed folks! Short version: recent zypper dup to Tumbleweed doesn't let me log in via KDE5/Plasma, forcing me to use LXDE. This is suboptimal ;) History: - Originally installed Tumbleweed off DVD based on the 2015-03-15 release. - Desktop was KDE4 based, lots of packages installed, etc. - On May 16th, When KDE5 / Plasma5 was hauled into Tumbleweed, I could no longer log in, with crashes similar to my current ones with krunner and plasmashell. - Forum posts recommended deleting the ~/.kde4 directory, which **worked!** Now: - More recently (ie: last ten days?), another update to KDE5 was pushed out. - Said update to KDE5 and Tumbleweed results to crashes on KDM login against plasmashell and krunner, with GUI dialog boxes saying the processes erred out. - Deleting ~/.kde4 doesn't work. - A different forum post mentioned adding "autoload=false" to ~/.config/kded5rc 's kscreen section. This too did not work. - That said, the above-mentioned purdy dialog boxes let me access developer info and get stack dumps, which I saved and attached to this email. Are there packages from kde4 that really should be blacklisted and purged from a KDE5 + Plasma install? Anything people can see from the stack traces that could hint at a solution? LXDE is functional, but not pretty, ya know?..... Ken Savage
