spaces in files names but is more like xargs. Respect status
of screen sessions.
==== audit-devel ====

- Do not depend on insserv nor fillup; the package provides

do not redefined auth_destroy, the reason for this has long

- autofs.service: Use KillMode=mixed so "KillSignal" (SIGTERM) is

==== enblend-enfuse ====
Version update (4.1.3 -> 4.1.4)
- Update to version 4.1.4
* The introduction of additional blend color spaces in the Development
Branch requires a new option to select them. Here, in the Stable
Branch, the new option ` * * blend * colorspace' just duplicates the
functionality of ` * * ciecam' and ` * * no * ciecam'. The Stable Branch
does *not* provide the additional blend colorspaces of the
Development Branch. The following equivalences hold
* * ciecam <=> * * blend * colorspace=ciecam
* * no * ciecam <=> * * blend * colorspace=identity
Both options ` * * ciecam' and ` * * no * ciecam' are deprecated in 4.2 and
will be withdrawn in 4.3. Thus, users should prefer
` * * blend * colorspace'.
* [Enblend and Enfuse] Fix the nesting * depth counter for response
files. This bug prohibited to load more than 20 images in a single
response file.
* [Enblend and Enfuse] Allow grayscale images to bring their own
(grayscale) profiles. Previously grayscale images with ICC profiles
were rejected.
* [Enblend] Fix a possible domain error followed by a division * by * zero
in the seam * line optimizer.
* [Enblend and Enfuse] Avoid an undeserved warning about incompatible
colorspaces if they only disagree on their meta * data (e.g. profile
creation date/time).
* [Enblend] Fix a bug in the Dijkstra Optimizer which could lead to
undefined behavior in the placement of the (optimized) seam line.
* [Enblend] Fix a non * dereferencable vector iterator which led to a
segfault.
* [Enblend] Avoid a division * by * zero in the Annealing Optimizer.
* [Enblend] Fix a bug (#1356551) in the seam * line vectorization code
that was there since 2004. The fix changes the position of almost
any coarse * mask seam line vertex by one pixel.

==== freetype2-devel ====
Version update (2.6.1 -> 2.6.2)
Subpackages: libfreetype6 libfreetype6-32bit
- Update to version 2.6.2
* IMPORTANT CHANGES
- The auto-hinter now supports stem darkening, to be controlled by
the new `no-stem-darkening' and `darkening-parameters'
properties. This is an experimental feature contributed by
Nikolaus Waxweiler, and the interface might change in a future
release.
- By default, stem darkening is now switched off (for both the CFF
engine and the auto-hinter). The main reason is that you need
linear alpha blending and gamma correction to get correct
rendering results, and the latter is not yet available in most
freely available rendering stacks like X11. Applying stem
darkening without proper gamma correction leads to far too dark
rendering results.
- The meaning of `FT_RENDER_MODE_LIGHT' has been slightly
modified. It now essentially means `no hinting along the
horizontal axis'; in particular, no change of glyph advance
widths. Consequently, the auto-hinter is used for all scalable
font formats except for CFF. It is planned that other
font-specific rendering engines (TrueType, Type 1) will follow.
* MISCELLANEOUS
- The default LCD filter has been changed to be normalized and
color-balanced.
- For better compatibility with FontConfig, function
`FT_Library_SetLcdFilter' accepts a new enumeration value
`FT_LCD_FILTER_LEGACY1' (which has the same meaning as
`FT_LCD_FILTER_LEGACY').
- A large number of bugs have been detected by using the libFuzzer
framework, which should further improve handling of invalid
fonts. Thanks again to Kostya Serebryany and Bungeman!
- `TT_CONFIG_OPTION_MAX_RUNNABLE_OPCODES', a new configuration
option, controls the maximum number of executed opcodes within a
bytecode program. You don't want to change this except for very
special situations (e.g., making a library fuzzer spend less
time to handle broken fonts).
- The smooth renderer has been made faster.
==== ft2demos ====

(instead of 1.2).

==== python-cryptography ====
Version update (1.0 -> 1.1)
- update to 1.1:
* Added support for Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman with
:class:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.asymmetric.ec.ECDH`.
* Added :class:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.kdf.x963kdf.X963KDF`.
* Added support for parsing certificate revocation lists (CRLs) using
:func:`~cryptography.x509.load_pem_x509_crl` and
:func:`~cryptography.x509.load_der_x509_crl`.
* Add support for AES key wrapping with
:func:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.keywrap.aes_key_wrap` and
:func:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.keywrap.aes_key_unwrap`.
* Added a ``__hash__`` method to :class:`~cryptography.x509.Name`.
* Add support for encoding and decoding elliptic curve points to a byte string
form using
:meth:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.asymmetric.ec.EllipticCurvePublicNumbers.encode_point`
and
:meth:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.asymmetric.ec.EllipticCurvePublicNumbers.from_encoded_point`.
* Added :meth:`~cryptography.x509.Extensions.get_extension_for_class`.
* :class:`~cryptography.x509.CertificatePolicies` are now supported in the
:class:`~cryptography.x509.CertificateBuilder`.
* ``countryName`` is now encoded as a ``PrintableString`` when creating subject
and issuer distinguished names with the Certificate and CSR builder classes.
* **SECURITY ISSUE**: The OpenSSL backend prior to 1.0.2 made extensive use
of assertions to check response codes where our tests could not trigger a
failure. However, when Python is run with ``-O`` these asserts are optimized
away. If a user ran Python with this flag and got an invalid response code
this could result in undefined behavior or worse. Accordingly, all response
checks from the OpenSSL backend have been converted from ``assert``
to a true function call. Credit **Emilia Ksper (Google Security Team)**
for the report.
* We now ship OS X wheels that statically link OpenSSL by default. When
installing a wheel on OS X 10.10+ (and using a Python compiled against the
10.10 SDK) users will no longer need to compile. See :doc:`/installation` for
alternate installation methods if required.
* Set the default string mask to UTF-8 in the OpenSSL backend to resolve
character encoding issues with older versions of OpenSSL.
* Several new OpenSSL bindings have been added to support a future pyOpenSSL
release.
* Raise an error during install on PyPy < 2.6. 1.0+ requires PyPy 2.6+.
- Remove 2293.patch . Applied in a different way upstream.
- Add BuildRequires for python-hypothesis and python-pyasn1-modules for running
unittests
==== python3-py ====

Version update (2.4.0 -> 2.4.1)
- Update to 2.4.1
* Added new configure check, CheckProg, to check for
existence of a program.
* Fix for issue #2840 - Fix for two environments specifying same
target with different actions not throwing hard error. Instead

following effects
* Fixed tigris issues #3001, #3006.
* Fixed several other issues not reported to tigris, including:
issues with versioned libraries in subdirectories with tricky
names,
issues with versioned libraries and variant directories,
issue with soname not being injected to library when using D
linkers,
* Switched to direct symlinks instead of daisy-chained ones --
soname and development symlinks point directly to the
versioned shared library now), for rationale see:
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-sharedlibs.html
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Devel_Packages
https://bitbucket.org/scons/scons/pull-requests/247/new-versioned-libraries…
* New construction variables to allow override default
behavior: SONAME, SHLIBVERSIONFLAGS, _SHLIBVERSIONFLAGS,
SHLIBNOVERSIONSYMLINKS, LDMODULEVERSION,
LDMODULEVERSIONFLAGS, _LDMODULEVERSIONFLAGS,
LDMODULENOVERSIONSYMLINKS.
* Changed logic used to configure the versioning machinery
from platform-centric to linker-oriented.
* The SHLIBVERSION/LDMODULEVERSION variables are no longer
validated by SCons (more freedom to users).
* InstallVersionedLib() doesn't use SHLIBVERSION anymore.
* Enchanced docs for the library versioning stuff.
* New tests for versioned libraries.
* Library versioning is currently implemented for the following
linker tools: 'cyglink', 'gnulink', 'sunlink'.
* Fix to swig tool - pick-up 'swig', 'swig3.0' and 'swig2.0'
(in order).

I just replaced a failed UPS with a APC unit that uses a USB connection.
I hooked it up to my Tumbleweed system.
I notice on rebooting that I see a Battery status widget in the System Tray.
Is it supported out of the box on the Plasma desktop?
I configured my Power Settings as it it is anyway.
I figured I'd have to struggle with the crufty old APC monitoring
application and it's configuration file.
If this consumer grade APC BE550G UPS is supported out of the box I'd
say fantastic.

* Processing of YARA rules(some limitations- see signatures.pdf).
* Support in ClamAV logical signatures for many of the features
added for YARA, such as Perl Compatible Regular Expressions,
alternate strings, and YARA string attributes. See signatures.pdf
for full details.
* New and improved on-access scanning for Linux. See the recent blog
post and clamdoc.pdf for details on the new on-access capabilities.
* A new ClamAV API callback function that is invoked when a virus
is found. This is intended primarily for applications running in
all-match mode. Any applications using all-match mode must use
the new callback function to record and report detected viruses.
* Configurable default password list to attempt zip file decryption.
* TIFF file support.
* Upgrade Windows pthread library to 2.9.1.
* A new signature target type for designating signatures to run
against files with unknown file types.
* Improved fidelity of the "data loss prevention" heuristic
algorithm. Code supplied by Bill Parker.
* Support for LZMA decompression within Adobe Flash files.
* Support for MSO attachments within Microsoft Office 2003 XML files.
* A new sigtool option(--ascii-normalize) allowing signature authors
to more easily generate normalized versions of ascii files.
* Windows installation directories changed from \Program Files\Sourcefire\
ClamAV to \Program Files\ClamAV or \Program Files\ClamAV-x64.
- Refactor a little the specfile; remove some obsolete conditional
macros, as clamav doesn't build for SLE11 anyway

complete list.
==== libsocks0 ====
- Add dante-miniupnp14.patch to fix compilation with miniupnpc
API level 14.
==== dbus-1-devel ====
Version update (1.8.20 -> 1.10.6)
Subpackages: libdbus-1-3 libdbus-1-3-32bit
- Update to 1.10.6
* Fixes:
- On Unix when running tests as root, don't assert that root
and the dbus-daemon user can still call
UpdateActivationEnvironment; assert that those privileged
users can call BecomeMonitor instead (fdo#93036, Simon
McVittie)
- On Windows, fix a memory leak in the autolaunch transport
(fdo#92899, Simon McVittie)
- On Windows Autotools builds, don't run tests that rely on
dbus-run-session and other Unix-specifics (fdo#92899, Simon
McVittie)
- Update to 1.10.4
* Changes between 1.10.2 and 1.10.4
- Enhancements:
+ GetConnectionCredentials, GetConnectionUnixUser and
GetConnectionUnixProcessID with argument
"org.freedesktop.DBus" will now return details of the
dbus-daemon itself. This is required to be able to call
SetEnvironment on systemd. (fdo#92857, Jan Alexander
Steffens)
- Fixes:
+ Make UpdateActivationEnvironment always fail with
AccessDenied on the system bus. Previously, it was
possible to configure it so root could call it, but the
environment variables were not actually used, because the
launch helper would discard them. (fdo#92857, Jan Alexander
Steffens)
+ On Unix with --systemd-activation on a user bus, make
UpdateActivationEnvironment pass on its arguments to
systemd's SetEnvironment method, solving inconsistency
between the environments used for traditional activation
and systemd user-service activation. (fdo#92857, Jan
Alexander Steffens)
+ On Windows, don't crash if <syslog/> or --syslog is used
(fdo#92538, Ralf Habacker)
+ On Windows, fix a memory leak when setting a DBusError from
a Windows error (fdo#92721, Ralf Habacker)
+ On Windows, don't go into infinite recursion if we abort the
process with backtraces enabled (fdo#92721, Ralf Habacker)
+ Fix various failing tests, variously on Windows and
cross-platform:
. don't test system.conf features (users, groups) that only
make sense on the system bus, which is not supported on
Windows
. don't call _dbus_warn() when we skip a test, since it is
fatal
. fix computation of expected <standard_session_servicedirs/>
. when running TAP tests, translate newlines to Unix format,
fixing cross-compiled tests under Wine on Linux
. don't stress-test refcounting under Wine, where it's
really slow
. stop assuming that a message looped-back to the test will
be received immediately
. skip some system bus tests on Windows since they make no
sense there (fdo#92538, fdo#92721; Ralf Habacker, Simon
McVittie)
* Changes between 1.10.0 and 1.10.2
- Fixes:
+ Correct error handling for activation: if there are multiple
attempts to activate the same service and it fails
immediately, the first attempt would get the correct reply,
but the rest would time out. We now send the same error
reply to each attempt. (fdo#92200, Simon McVittie)
+ If BecomeMonitor is called with a syntactically invalid
match rule, don't crash with an assertion failure, fixing a
regression in 1.9.10. This was not exploitable as a denial
of service, because the check for a privileged user is done
first. (fdo#92298, Simon McVittie)
+ On Linux with --enable-user-session, add the bus address to
the environment of systemd services for better backwards
compatibility (fdo#92612, Jan Alexander Steffens)
+ On Windows, fix the logic for replacing the installation
prefix in service files' Exec lines (fdo#83539; Milan Crha,
Simon McVittie)
+ On Windows, if installed in the conventional layout with
${prefix}/etc and ${prefix}/share, use relative paths
between bus configuration files to allow the tree to be
relocated (fdo#92028, Simon McVittie)
+ Make more of the regression tests pass in Windows builds
(fdo#92538, Simon McVittie)
* Summary of major changes since 1.8.0:
- The basic setup for the well-known system and session buses is
now done in read-only files in ${datadir} (normally /usr/share).
- AppArmor integration has been merged, with features similar to
the pre-existing SELinux integration. It is mostly compatible
with the patches previously shipped by Ubuntu, with one
significant change: Ubuntu's GetConnectionAppArmorSecurityContext
method has been superseded by GetConnectionCredentials and was
not included.
- The --enable-user-session configure option can be enabled
by OS integrators intending to use systemd to provide a
session bus per user (in effect, treating all concurrent
graphical and non-graphical login sessions as one large session).
- The new listenable address mode "unix:runtime=yes" listens on
$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/bus, the same AF_UNIX socket used by the
systemd user session. libdbus and "dbus-launch --autolaunch"
will connect to this address by default. GLib >= 2.45.3 and
sd-bus >= 209 have a matching default.
- All executables are now dynamically linked to libdbus-1.
Previously, some executables, most notably dbus-daemon, were
statically linked to a specially-compiled variant of libdbus.
This results in various private functions in the _dbus
namespace being exposed by the shared library. These are not
API, and must not be used outside the dbus source tree.
- On platforms with ELF symbol versioning, all public symbols
are versioned LIBDBUS_1_3.
* New bus APIs:
- org.freedesktop.DBus.GetConnectionCredentials returns
LinuxSecurityLabel where supported
- org.freedesktop.DBus.Monitoring interface (privileged)
. BecomeMonitor method supersedes match rules with eavesdrop=true,
which are now deprecated
- org.freedesktop.DBus.Stats interface (semi-privileged)
. now enabled by default
. new GetAllMatchRules method
- org.freedesktop.DBus.Verbose interface (not normally compiled)
. toggles the effect of DBUS_VERBOSE
* New executables:
- dbus-test-tool
- dbus-update-activation-environment
* New optional dependencies:
- The systemd: pseudo-transport requires libsystemd or libsd-daemon
- Complete documentation requires Ducktype and yelp-tools
- Full test coverage requires GLib 2.36 and PyGI
- AppArmor integration requires libapparmor and optionally libaudit
* Dependencies removed:
- dbus-glib

- v7.03.37 released
- Update suse-leap-42.1-JeOS
Use ext4 as write filesystem in overlayfs, btrfs is broken
for this use case (bnc#950999)
- Allow ext4 to be set in hybridpersistent_filesystem
- v7.03.36 released
- fix appdata generation on product builds with multiple media
- v7.03.35 released
- Retrieve vm tools version from vmtoolsd
- Deleted __checkMountDependencies runtime check
I'm afraid but this check causes more false positives than the
correct detection of an inconsistency in the mount table. Checking
if the string 'kiwi' appears in the process list is not enough,
especially in contained environment where the host kernel shares
mount information with a VM or container guest this check is
always wrong. We need a better solution here. Fixes Issue#501
- Added Leap 42.1 support for kiwi --describe
Allow to analyse Leap Systems, fixes Issue #516
- Bundle all built OEM images
it is valid to build multiple OEM targets, e.g. with
<type ... installiso='true' installpxe='true' image='oem'> and
KIWI correctly builds an install.iso and an install.tar.xz in
this case. However, when using OBS only the install.iso is
exported. This is, because "kiwi --bundle-build" will only export
one image and return.
Change this to export all: .iso, .raw and .tar.xz

- Added vmdk descriptor update
VMWare applications are made aware that an image has vm-tools installed
via tags appended to the VMDK's metadata. Typically, the tools write
the metadata during their first run, but in our case the first run of
the tools is the first boot of the appliance, so the host application
is not aware of tools until after a VM has been rebooted, missing a
critical opportunity to configure an instance before or during the
first boot. In order to allow VMWare applications (include vCloud)
to be aware that vm-tools are installed, we need to add the appropriate
metadata to the image during its creation
==== kross ====
Subpackages: kross-devel
- Move kf5kross from -devel to main package. At least one other
package ("parley") requires it. A normal application package
should not require a -devel package.
==== libass5 ====
Version update (0.12.3 -> 0.13.0)
- Update to 0.13.0
* Add native font selection backends for OSX (CoreText) and
Windows (DirectWrite). You can now run libass without
fontconfig on these platforms. This fixes problems with
fontconfig behaving badly on these platforms (it could take
minutes to scan all system fonts). Even on Linux, this speeds
up loading of embedded fonts (such as provided by
ass_add_font()). The DirectWrite backend only works on Windows
Vista and later. On XP, fontconfig is still needed. libass can
be compiled with both DirectWrite and fontconfig, and then it
will fallback to fontconfig automatically if DirectWrite is not
available at runtime.
* Add ass_get_available_font_providers() API function.
* Change the 4th parameter of ass_set_fonts(). This now selects
the font provider. This is somewhat backwards compatible with
the old behavior, but if you ever passed values other than 0
or 1, your application might break with this libass release.
* The ass_fonts_update() function now does nothing. It's kept
for backward compatibility only.
* Much faster gaussian blur. This can bring a large speedup with
big blurred signs and such.
* Drop ENCA support
* Bug fixes
+ Fix compilation of the freetype rasterizer (disabled by
default)
+ Fix rendering with some cases of consecutive line breaks
(\N\N).
+ Fix some memory allocation failure checks
+ Avoid system locale dependent behavior by reinventing some
standard C functions
+ Fix rendering errors with strikes (GH #193)
+ MSVC compilation fixes
- Enable harfbuzz and yasm build requires
==== libassuan-devel ====

==== libkexiv2-11 ====
Subpackages: libkexiv2-devel
- Require exiv2 version 0.25 as upstream strongly recommendeds it
since 0.24 has "bad bugs". Make an exception in SLE12, where
we only require 0.23, as that's the only available version.
- Added patch: fix-reduce-required-exiv2-to-0.23.diff that reduces
the required exiv2 version in cmake.
==== libmetalink3 ====

Avoid potential pointer overflow in png_handle_iTXt(), png_handle_zTXt(),
png_handle_sPLT(), and png_handle_pCAL() (Bug report by John Regehr).
Fixed incorrect implementation of png_set_PLTE() that uses png_ptr
not info_ptr, that left png_set_PLTE() open to the CVE-2015-8126
vulnerability.
==== libpng16-16 ====
Version update (1.6.19 -> 1.6.20)
Subpackages: libpng16-16-32bit libpng16-compat-devel libpng16-devel
- update to 1.6.20:
Avoid potential pointer overflow/underflow in png_handle_sPLT() and
png_handle_pCAL() (Bug report by John Regehr).
Fixed incorrect implementation of png_set_PLTE() that uses png_ptr
not info_ptr, that left png_set_PLTE() open to the CVE-2015-8126
vulnerability.
Backported tests from libpng-1.7.0beta69.
Fixed an error in handling of bad zlib CMINFO field in pngfix, found by
American Fuzzy Lop, reported by Brian Carpenter. inflate() doesn't
immediately fault a bad CMINFO field; instead a 'too far back' error
happens later (at least some times). pngfix failed to limit CMINFO to
the allowed values but then assumed that window_bits was in range,
triggering an assert. The bug is mostly harmless; the PNG file cannot
be fixed.
In libpng 1.6 zlib initialization was changed to use the window size
in the zlib stream, not a fixed value. This causes some invalid images,
where CINFO is too large, to display 'correctly' if the rest of the
data is valid. This provides a workaround for zlib versions where the
error arises (ones that support the API change to use the window size
in the stream).
==== libpsl0 ====
- fix SLE 11 build:
* adding 0001-Remove-include-of-bits-stat.h.patch

in postprocessing
- removed upstreamedretval.diff
==== gdk-pixbuf-loader-rsvg ====
Version update (2.40.11 -> 2.40.12)
Subpackages: librsvg-2-2 librsvg-devel typelib-1_0-Rsvg-2_0
- Update to version 2.40.12:
+ Refactoring of the test harness to use Glib's gtest
infrastructure, instead of using home-grown machinery. Tests
can simply be put as SVG files in the tests/subdirectories; it
is not necessary to list them explicitly in some text file.
+ Gzipped SVGs now work if read from streams.
+ References to objects/filters/URIs/etc. are now handled lazily.
Also, there is a general-purpose cycle detector so malformed
SVGs don't cause infinite loops.
+ Removed parsing of Adobe blend modes; they were not
implemented, anyway.
+ Bugs fixed: bgo#700911, bgo#630732, bgo#677068.

- Changes from version 3.12
* inetd mode should work again, now using the default export name
in the newstyle protocol
* when specifying an export on the server command line or not specifying
a name on a client command line, the newstyle protocol is used with
the default export name (but a warning will be produced stating
that oldstyle is no longer supported)
* All traces of oldstyle (except a few error messages) have been
removed
* We now listen on IPv4 and IPv6 by default, regardless of what
the system's configuration is like, by explicitly listening both
on 0.0.0.0 and ::.
* Some bugs in the handling of the TRIM command have been removed
* nbd *client now uses readit() in the negotiation, rather than
plain non *retrying read().
* It is now possible to listen on multiple addresses; the
"listenaddr" parameter has been changed into a comma *separated
list of addresses to listen on
* nbd *client now supports an nbdtab file, which allows connecting

- Revert previous patch for bsc#949683 (adding _netdev is not
needed any longer because the problem is fixed in systemd)
- 3.1.73
==== zsh ====
Version update (5.1.1 -> 5.2)
- Update to version 5.2
* The new module zsh/param/private can be loaded to allow the shell
to define parameters that are private to a function scope (i.e. are
not propagated to nested functions called within this function).
* The GLOB_STAR_SHORT option allows the pattern **/* to be shortened to
just ** if no / follows. so **.c searches recursively for a file whose
name has the suffix ".c".
* The effect of the WARN_CREATE_GLOBAL option has been significantly
extended, so expect it to cause additional warning messages about
parameters created globally within function scope.

Was without emails from @opensuse.org and started to think it was something in
my local internet connection.
Did not receive an info about the latest snapshot which I stumbled upon by
chance.
This morning the dry spell in emails was finally broken by one single email
from Neil Rickert. A trickle for a Monday morning but something seems to start
working.
Am I the only one who was cut off of the communication?

There appear to be two others building opencl support in various forms
on OBS, but I merged the best from each and did some significant
cleanup.
Before I bother with a package submission request I would like to
understand if this is something in which the X11/Factory maintainers
are interested.
The relevant packages (libclc would need to be added):
- https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:boombatower:branches:X11:XOrg/…
- https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:boombatower:branches:X11:XOrg/…
Other packages like opencl-headers, clinfo, ect. are already provided
by factory and other repos like Education. I was able to confirm
proper setup using clinfo and
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~tstellar/opencl-example/.
Running the example tests resulted in:
64 passes, 7 fails
By removing gallium-pipe or opencl package the tests completely fail
as expected.
The libclc is rather odd that no tags are provided in git or svn. I
made an upstream request to add them since they change the version in
the build files. For now I manually set major version in _service and
apparent git information.
Obviously, the current Mesa OpenCL implementation is not fully
functional, but seems functional enough to package and will hopefully
improve. If I am not mistaken Fedora has packaged the OpenCL support
for quite sometime, not that it should drive a decision.
Thoughts?

JFYI,
I hit a breakage of autofs after updating today, due to the missing
auth_put symbol. The breakage comes from libtirpc updates, and it's
been already addressed in autofs devel project (bsc#958410). After
installing manually the package from OBS filesystems/autofs repo, it
starts working fine again.

Hi
I have noticed that lately, that there appeared bunch of deleterequests
for factory:
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/346128 (agg)
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/346107 (tokyocabinet)
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/346098 (pth)
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/347667 (ipw-firmware)
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/347654 (pangox-compat)
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/347780 (libfallocate)
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/348262 (tclap)
While some of them indeed seem indeed valid, there are several cases
where which are questionable - is inactive upstream for package that is
building properly, and lack of dependencies sufficient reason for
removal from factory?
I would like to mention here, that from my own experience, as maintainer
and user of some benchmarking tools, it is not uncommon that upstream is
inactive for many years yet package is still useful and successfully used.
What are your thoughts on this topic?
Cheers

Hi, I've made three change devel requests for sord, serd and sratom see :
requests 348466, 348467 and 348468
to change the devel project for these packages from
devel:libraries:c_c++ which would appear to be the right project for
these packages to multimedia:libs which is the only place that they are
used.
They were created over two years ago, when I created the Lilv plugin
system package. I initially built serd and sord inside the Lilv package.
The source name for Lilv then changed to lilv and the package was
renamed and the history deleted.
Since their creation in devel:libraries:c_c++ they have only been used
for lilv/lv2 plugin system therefor they should reside in
multimedia:libs where they can be maintained with the loving care they
deserve and ensure a smooth update process for the lilv/lv2 plugin
system. lilv currently cannot leave multimedia:libs for factory due to a
stalled update of sord.
This will also take a load off of the maintainers of
devel:libraries:c_c++ and allow them more time to work on important
packages.
Best regards
Dave Plater
