==== ghostscript ====
Subpackages: ghostscript-devel ghostscript-x11
- Do not use library sources for freetype jpeg libpng tiff zlib
from the Ghostscript upstream tarball because we prefer to use
for long-established standard libraries the ones from SUSE
in particular to automatically get SUSE security updates
for standard libraries.
In contrast we use e.g. lcms2 from the Ghostscript upstream
tarball because this one is specially modified to work with
Ghostscript so that we cannot use lcms2 from SUSE.
- remove-zlib-h-dependency.patch removes dependency on zlib/zlib.h
in makefiles as we do not use the zlib sources from the
Ghostscript upstream tarball.

* fax2ps : Detect failure to write to temporary file.
- Changes from version 4.0.5
* Support for configure/build using CMake.
* Support for large (> 2GB) files under Microsoft Windows.
* Configuration and building using CMake is now supported under
Microsoft Windows and on Unix-type systems.
* Test for and use fseeko() if it is available. This allows supporting
large files on Unix-type systems with a 32-bit 'long' type and a
64-bit 'off_t' type.
* tiffiop.h: Macros added to use 64-bit equivalents for all standard
I/O and POSIX APIs used by libtiff and its tools which are limited
to 2GB in Windows builds. Note that these 64-bit equivalents were
introduced by the CRT provided with Visual Studio 2005 and if the
necessary CRT is not installed on the target computer, the program
will not run. The wrapper macros will not be activated unless the
definition _MSC_VER is at least 1400 or __MSVCRT_VERSION__ is at
least 0x800.
* tif_unix.c: Updated to support large files under Microsoft Windows.
This makes tif_unix.c a completely viable candidate for use under
Windows (in spite of its name) if the CRT is modern enough. Please
note that tif_win32.c already supported large files, but only
'tiffinfo' and 'tiffdump' made any provision to support large files
under Windows.
* _tiffReadProc() and _tiffWriteProc() are modified to chunk I/O to a
maximum size of 2GB for extremely large I/O requests. This surmounts
limitations in the Microsoft Windows read() and write() APIs (which
are limited to the range of a 32-bit 'int'), and may avoid poor
behavior with extremely large I/O requests on other systems.
* Updated to use I/O wrapper macros from tiffiop.h in order to
support large files under Microsoft Windows.
==== wget ====
Version update (1.17 -> 1.17.1)

* Fix compile error when IPv6 is disabled or SSL is not present
* Fix HSTS memory leak
* Fix progress output in non-C locales
* Fix SIGSEGV when -N and --content-disposition are used together
* Add --check-certificate=quiet to tell wget to not print any
warning about invalid certificates
==== yast2-control-center ====

I am the relatively new maintainer for VirtualBox with limited knowledge of the
RPM build process. My predecessors had made the decision to keep the version of
VB in openSUSE 13.2 to VB 4.3.x and that 13.1 be kept to VB 4.2.x. I support
that decision, thus the builds for 5.0.x are never submitted to the
openSUSE:13.y:Update branches. Despite that, I just received a build failure
notice from OBS with the subject "Build failure of Virtualization/virtualbox in
openSUSE_13.1/x86_64". The detailed log shows that a build of VB 5.0.10 that
ran out of disk space. As far as I am concerned, attempting that build was a
waste of OBS resources.
What changes should I make in the .spec file to prevent these useless builds for
13.1 and 13.2?
In case a build that is important runs out of space, what is the default disk
space assigned to builds.
Thanks,
Larry

I've noticed that one or twice login in any openSUSE infrastructure was
inaccessible to me. At first I thought that it's just yet another temporary
fluke but turned out that _it didn't like my IP address_ (which is given
randomly on ISP connection from a giant pool and is shared with other people
because of double NAT'ting, SOHO-router side and ISP-side) ! I suspect that
someone employed some king of IP filtering in the times of IPv4 address space
exhaustion which is the dumbest thing imaginable.

Unfortunally there ist still breeze5-icons on download.opensuse.org. So some
apps still crash because of missing icons (boo#957861).

Hello Ludwig,
first and foremost many thanks for the
topmost "Packages changed" overview!
It makes it much easier to check whether or not
one of my recent package changes is included
in a Tumbleweed snapshot.

A proposal for further improvement:
Could you move the "Packages removed" and "Packages added"
overviews to the top of the mail so that one can easier
check all affected packages by a Tumbleweed snapshot?
E.g. like

Hi all,
I read, that it should be possible to boot into a snapshot now. However, I do
not have this option in my grub2 menu, although I have installed the grub2-
snapper-plugin and have a root partition using btrfs and snapshots shown by
snapper list.
Any ideas?

Hi all,
recently I got my first android phone and now I tried to setup a google
calender in korganzizer. However, upon creation of a new calender, there is no
google-calendar ressource offer. However, a folder /resources/google/calendar
exist in kdepim-runtime-15.08.3.tar.xz in factory.
Is it not build or is there another problem around?
Has anybody any ideas?
Sincerely,
Robby.

==== daps ====
Version update (2.1.3 -> 2.1.5)
Stable release DAPS 2.1.5:
* New Features:
- parameters for text generation can be set in the config files
via TXT_PARAMS or via --param/--stringparam on the command line
- a change introduced in 2.0 made using the original DocBook
stylesheets for text generation the default. Since this behavior
is confusing and unexpected, it is reverted with this change:
* the stylesheets configured via STYLEROOT or --styleroot are
used by default for text generation
* to ignore _any_ STYLEROOT definitions, set
TXT_IGNORE_STYLEROOT="yes" in the config files or use
- -ignore-styleroot on the command line
(daps -d <DC> text --ignore-styleroot)
* Bugfixes:
- Fix for issue #294: xmlcatalog returns file:<PATH> rather than
file://<PATH> on Debian Jessie and openSUSE Tumbleweed and
caused DAPS to fail with DB5 sources
* Misc
- added basic debugging output to test suite (--debug)Stable release DAPS 2.1.4:
* Bugfixes:
- Target text shows remarks (issue #293)
- DAPS checklink doesn't work (issue #296)
- ASPELL_EXTRA_DICT from ~/.config/daps/dapsrc is ignored
(issue #297)
- DAPS package includes SUSE wordlist (issue #298)
- Parameter passed with --param is ignored with subcommand
"text" (issue #299)
- Target locdrop does not generate
graphics-setfiles-$(DOCNAME)$(LANGSTRING).tar.bz2
(issue #302)
- Translation check for locdrop (issue #306)
- Add --optipng to unpack-locdrop (issue #307)
- Add --xmlonly / --imgonly switches to list-srcfiles (issue #310)
- bigfile creates unresolved xrefs for DocBook5 (issue #314)
- Improve DocBook5 -> DocBook4 -> Novdoc Stylesheets (issue #311)
- Enhancements in user guide, thanks to Martin Koeditz
(issue #315)
- FO contains wrong image paths when XML contains no profiling
PI (issue #316)
- DB-4-to-5 migration: missing book titles/productnames/productnumbers
(issue #319)
* New Features:
- Option --schema lets you specify an URN to a DocBook 5 schema that
is to be used for validation. Will be ignored when validating Docbbok4
documents.
- DOCBOOK5_STYLE_URI, DOCBOOK5_STYLE_URI, and DOCBOOK4_STYLE_URI may
now also point to a local file. If the URN begins with the prefix
"file://", it will not be resolved via xmlcatalog, but rather taken as
is (minus "file://").
- Add conversion options to online-docs:
. --db5todb4: converts DocBook 5 sources to a DocBook 4 bigfile
. --db5todb4nh: converts DocBook 5 sources to a DocBook 4
bigfile without a DOCTYPE declaration
. --dbtonovdoc: converts DocBook 4/5 to Novdoc

- Do not set -nocs, hurts us when building Arabic (related:
issue #108)

Version update (15.4.0 -> 15.5.0)

* This is the last Twisted release where Python 2.6 is supported, on
any platform. Python 3.5 (on POSIX) support has been added.
* This release introduces changes that are required for Conch's SSH
implementation to work with OpenSSH 6.9+ servers.
* twisted.python.url is a new abstraction for URLs, supporting RFC
3987 IRIs. (#5388)
* twisted.python.logfile is now ported to Python 3. (#6749)
* twisted.python.zippath has been ported to Python 3. (#6917)
* twisted.internet.ssl.CertificateOptions and
twisted.internet.ssl.optionsForClientTLS now take a
acceptableProtocols parameter that enables negotiation of the next
protocol to speak after the TLS handshake has completed. This field
advertises protocols over both NPN and ALPN. Also added new
INegotiated interface for TLS interfaces that support protocol
negotiation. This interface adds a negotiatedProtocol property that
reports what protocol, if any, was negotiated in the TLS handshake.
(#7860)
* twisted.python.urlpath.URLPath now operates correctly on Python 3,
using bytes instead of strings, and introduces the fromBytes
constructor to assist with creating them cross-version. (#7994)
* twisted.application.strports is now ported to Python 3. (#8011)
* twistd (the Twisted Daemon) is now ported to Python 3. (#8012)
* Python 3.5 is now supported on POSIX platforms. (#8042)

* twisted.cred.checkers.FilePasswordDB now logs an error if the
credentials db file does not exist, no longer raises an unhandled
error. (#8028)
* twisted.python.threadpool.ThreadPool now properly starts enough
threads to do any work scheduled before ThreadPool.start() is
called, such as when work is scheduled in the reactor via
reactor.callInThread() before reactor.run(). (#8090)
* Twisted Development test standard documentation now contain
information about avoiding test data files. (#6535)
* The documentation for twisted.internet.defer.DeferredSemaphore now
describes the actual usage for limit and tokens instance
attributes. (#8024)
* twisted.python._initgroups, a C extension, has been removed and
stdlib support is now always used instead. (#5861)
* Python 2.6 is no longer supported. (#8017)
* twisted.python.util.OrderedDict is now deprecated, and uses of it
in Twisted are replaced with collections.OrderedDict. (#8051)
* twisted.persisted.sob.load, twisted.persisted.sob.loadValueFromFile
and twisted.persisted.sob.Persistent.save() are now deprecated when
used with a passphrase. The encyption used by these methods are
weak. (#8081)
* twisted.internet.interfaces.IStreamClientEndpointStringParser has
been removed and Twisted will no longer use parsers implementing
this interface. (#8094)
* #5976, #6628, #6894, #6980, #7228, #7693, #7731, #7997, #8046,

HI!
Any clue why this command exits with error code 4 although it seems downloading
all the files succeeded without error?
# zypper up --no-recommends --download-only
[..downloading..]
Installation has completed with error.
Not sure whether it just exits like this on my rasperrypi systems but here are
the details:
# uname -a

==== enblend-enfuse ====
Version update (4.1.3 -> 4.1.4)
- Update to version 4.1.4
* The introduction of additional blend color spaces in the Development
Branch requires a new option to select them. Here, in the Stable
Branch, the new option ` * * blend * colorspace' just duplicates the
functionality of ` * * ciecam' and ` * * no * ciecam'. The Stable Branch
does *not* provide the additional blend colorspaces of the
Development Branch. The following equivalences hold
* * ciecam <=> * * blend * colorspace=ciecam
* * no * ciecam <=> * * blend * colorspace=identity
Both options ` * * ciecam' and ` * * no * ciecam' are deprecated in 4.2 and
will be withdrawn in 4.3. Thus, users should prefer
` * * blend * colorspace'.
* [Enblend and Enfuse] Fix the nesting * depth counter for response
files. This bug prohibited to load more than 20 images in a single
response file.
* [Enblend and Enfuse] Allow grayscale images to bring their own
(grayscale) profiles. Previously grayscale images with ICC profiles
were rejected.
* [Enblend] Fix a possible domain error followed by a division * by * zero
in the seam * line optimizer.
* [Enblend and Enfuse] Avoid an undeserved warning about incompatible
colorspaces if they only disagree on their meta * data (e.g. profile
creation date/time).
* [Enblend] Fix a bug in the Dijkstra Optimizer which could lead to
undefined behavior in the placement of the (optimized) seam line.
* [Enblend] Fix a non * dereferencable vector iterator which led to a
segfault.
* [Enblend] Avoid a division * by * zero in the Annealing Optimizer.
* [Enblend] Fix a bug (#1356551) in the seam * line vectorization code
that was there since 2004. The fix changes the position of almost
any coarse * mask seam line vertex by one pixel.

==== freetype2-devel ====
Version update (2.6.1 -> 2.6.2)
Subpackages: libfreetype6 libfreetype6-32bit
- Update to version 2.6.2
* IMPORTANT CHANGES
- The auto-hinter now supports stem darkening, to be controlled by
the new `no-stem-darkening' and `darkening-parameters'
properties. This is an experimental feature contributed by
Nikolaus Waxweiler, and the interface might change in a future
release.
- By default, stem darkening is now switched off (for both the CFF
engine and the auto-hinter). The main reason is that you need
linear alpha blending and gamma correction to get correct
rendering results, and the latter is not yet available in most
freely available rendering stacks like X11. Applying stem
darkening without proper gamma correction leads to far too dark
rendering results.
- The meaning of `FT_RENDER_MODE_LIGHT' has been slightly
modified. It now essentially means `no hinting along the
horizontal axis'; in particular, no change of glyph advance
widths. Consequently, the auto-hinter is used for all scalable
font formats except for CFF. It is planned that other
font-specific rendering engines (TrueType, Type 1) will follow.
* MISCELLANEOUS
- The default LCD filter has been changed to be normalized and
color-balanced.
- For better compatibility with FontConfig, function
`FT_Library_SetLcdFilter' accepts a new enumeration value
`FT_LCD_FILTER_LEGACY1' (which has the same meaning as
`FT_LCD_FILTER_LEGACY').
- A large number of bugs have been detected by using the libFuzzer
framework, which should further improve handling of invalid
fonts. Thanks again to Kostya Serebryany and Bungeman!
- `TT_CONFIG_OPTION_MAX_RUNNABLE_OPCODES', a new configuration
option, controls the maximum number of executed opcodes within a
bytecode program. You don't want to change this except for very
special situations (e.g., making a library fuzzer spend less
time to handle broken fonts).
- The smooth renderer has been made faster.
==== ft2demos ====

(instead of 1.2).

==== python-cryptography ====
Version update (1.0 -> 1.1)
- update to 1.1:
* Added support for Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman with
:class:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.asymmetric.ec.ECDH`.
* Added :class:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.kdf.x963kdf.X963KDF`.
* Added support for parsing certificate revocation lists (CRLs) using
:func:`~cryptography.x509.load_pem_x509_crl` and
:func:`~cryptography.x509.load_der_x509_crl`.
* Add support for AES key wrapping with
:func:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.keywrap.aes_key_wrap` and
:func:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.keywrap.aes_key_unwrap`.
* Added a ``__hash__`` method to :class:`~cryptography.x509.Name`.
* Add support for encoding and decoding elliptic curve points to a byte string
form using
:meth:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.asymmetric.ec.EllipticCurvePublicNumbers.encode_point`
and
:meth:`~cryptography.hazmat.primitives.asymmetric.ec.EllipticCurvePublicNumbers.from_encoded_point`.
* Added :meth:`~cryptography.x509.Extensions.get_extension_for_class`.
* :class:`~cryptography.x509.CertificatePolicies` are now supported in the
:class:`~cryptography.x509.CertificateBuilder`.
* ``countryName`` is now encoded as a ``PrintableString`` when creating subject
and issuer distinguished names with the Certificate and CSR builder classes.
* **SECURITY ISSUE**: The OpenSSL backend prior to 1.0.2 made extensive use
of assertions to check response codes where our tests could not trigger a
failure. However, when Python is run with ``-O`` these asserts are optimized
away. If a user ran Python with this flag and got an invalid response code
this could result in undefined behavior or worse. Accordingly, all response
checks from the OpenSSL backend have been converted from ``assert``
to a true function call. Credit **Emilia Ksper (Google Security Team)**
for the report.
* We now ship OS X wheels that statically link OpenSSL by default. When
installing a wheel on OS X 10.10+ (and using a Python compiled against the
10.10 SDK) users will no longer need to compile. See :doc:`/installation` for
alternate installation methods if required.
* Set the default string mask to UTF-8 in the OpenSSL backend to resolve
character encoding issues with older versions of OpenSSL.
* Several new OpenSSL bindings have been added to support a future pyOpenSSL
release.
* Raise an error during install on PyPy < 2.6. 1.0+ requires PyPy 2.6+.
- Remove 2293.patch . Applied in a different way upstream.
- Add BuildRequires for python-hypothesis and python-pyasn1-modules for running
unittests

* Fixed several other issues not reported to tigris, including:
issues with versioned libraries in subdirectories with tricky
names,
issues with versioned libraries and variant directories,
issue with soname not being injected to library when using D
linkers,
* Switched to direct symlinks instead of daisy-chained ones --
soname and development symlinks point directly to the
versioned shared library now), for rationale see:
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-sharedlibs.html
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Devel_Packages
https://bitbucket.org/scons/scons/pull-requests/247/new-versioned-libraries…
* New construction variables to allow override default
behavior: SONAME, SHLIBVERSIONFLAGS, _SHLIBVERSIONFLAGS,
SHLIBNOVERSIONSYMLINKS, LDMODULEVERSION,
LDMODULEVERSIONFLAGS, _LDMODULEVERSIONFLAGS,
LDMODULENOVERSIONSYMLINKS.
* Changed logic used to configure the versioning machinery
from platform-centric to linker-oriented.
* The SHLIBVERSION/LDMODULEVERSION variables are no longer
validated by SCons (more freedom to users).
* InstallVersionedLib() doesn't use SHLIBVERSION anymore.
* Enchanced docs for the library versioning stuff.
* New tests for versioned libraries.
* Library versioning is currently implemented for the following
linker tools: 'cyglink', 'gnulink', 'sunlink'.
* Fix to swig tool - pick-up 'swig', 'swig3.0' and 'swig2.0'
(in order).
* Fix to swig tool - respect env['SWIG'] provided by user.
