[opensuse-factory] HTTP/2 on Leap 42.1 - OpenSSL version is to old

Dear all, I'm very interested to support HTTP/2 on my web-servers. I have done some research on that. Apache 2.4.17 brings HTTP/2 support for web-pages but depends on nghttp2 and an SSL-library supporting ALPN [1]. Unfortunately Leap ships with OpenSSL 1.0.1i but ALPN is implemented in OpenSSL 1.0.2+ only. Is there a chance to backport this feature? Will Leap once be updated to a newer version of OpenSSL? [opensuse-factory] Suggestion: Change libqt5-creator name to qt5-creator

Hi! In Tumbleweed, I have been using the package qt-creator to develop Qt applications for a long time. I have always complained about the old version, since qt-creator is 3.2.2 and the newest version available is 3.5.1. However, it turns out that the newest version is already available in Tumbleweed under the name libqt5-creator. Is there any good reason to name the package as libqt5-creator? I think this is very confusing. Since it has a lib* in the name, I did not even look at the description, so I was using a very old version all the time. Thus, I am wondering if it is possible to change the name of libqt5-creator to qt5-creator or something else. [opensuse-factory] Xen-kernel with 42.1 gold not booting

Hi, finally I installed the gold ISO on one of my small "servers" (LENOVO ThinkCentre M58p 6137A1G), where I put in a new 2 TB SATA harddrive. On the old harddrive I have running openSUSE 11.4 (i586), kernel 3.0.101-99-xen and Xen 4.0.3_05-57.1. Installation went through fine, I selected ext4 for /boot and XFS for the rest, XFCE for the desktop and the first boot was working as expected. I installed all the Xen-stuff, didn't easily managed to boot it as default, so it booted the default kernel, still without problems. But when selecting the Xen Hypervisor entry, the system starts to boot, shows: (XEN) ACPI ... ... (XEN) System RAM: 9631 MB ... (XEN) *** LOADING DOMAIN 0 *** ... (XEN) Dom0 has maximum 2 VCPUs the screen get's dark and shows two more lines: [ 0.1902...] platform INT0000:00: failed to claim resource 0 [ 0.1903...] acpi INT0000:00 platform device creation failed: -16 The the screen goes dark and I have to switch off/on the system to get it running again :-( The last two lines I also get with the default kernel, just before the green splash-screen with the three dots, so this does not seem to be the problem. When I start the Xen kernel with "Advanced options - recovery" it goes a little bit further (at least it shows some more informations), here I get until: [ 0.22...] Unpacking initramfs... ... [ 1.63...] systemd[1]: Starting Apoly Kernel Variables... ... [ OK ] Started udev Kernel Device Manager. ... [ 1.551..] sda: sda1 sda2 sda3 sda4 <sda5> ... [ 1.557..] systemd[1]: Detected architecture 'x86-64'. [ 1.558..] systemd[1]: Running in initial RAM disk. Then again I get a black screen. Any ideas? Hi. I was updating packages on my netbook and I noticed a higher than usual CPU usage. When I checked the processes list I did find that systemd-coredump was using about 50% of the CPU. Are this kind of changes notified somewhere (apart from the list of changes after a snapshot where they're easy to overlook)? If not, could it be commented in the weekly review, please? Hi Does anyone know where the best place is to ask questions about Tumbleweeds current default config where the thread will no get gummed up with personal opinions about this system? I will try here as a start. I can't get any joy out of journalctl --user (result is "No journal files were found. -- No entries --") so i have to use "journalctl _UID=1001" to get any logs for my user. I am sure this didn't used to be the case but my memory is crap. I'm getting the following in the journal at logout of a user. Is the "systemd-coredump" important? (However, the permissions on the table are not checked, so installations that really need a less-than-secure modules table can still grant suitable privileges to trusted non-superusers.) So application of either of those operations could lead to permanent corruption of an index, in the sense that searches might fail to find entries that are present. Concurrent insertions could cause index scans to transiently report wrong results. * Fix incorrect logic for GiST index page splits, when the split depends on a non-first column of the index. * Fix wrong search results for a multi-column GIN index with fastupdate enabled. * Fix bugs in WAL entry creation for GIN indexes. These bugs were masked when full_page_writes was on, but with it off a WAL replay failure was certain if a crash occurred before the next checkpoint. * Don't error out if recycling or removing an old WAL file fails at the end of checkpoint. It's better to treat the problem as non-fatal and allow the checkpoint to complete. Future checkpoints will retry the removal. Such problems are not expected in normal operation, but have been seen to be caused by misdesigned Windows anti-virus and backup software. * Ensure WAL files aren't repeatedly archived on Windows. This is another symptom that could happen if some other process interfered with deletion of a no-longer-needed file. * Fix PAM password processing to be more robust. The previous code is known to fail with the combination of the Linux pam_krb5 PAM module with Microsoft Active Directory as the domain controller. Newcommers will otherwise think 13.2 is Leap. Hi, I just installed leap on bare metal for the first time and ran into the problem that I can not enter the password for my encrypted partitions. To be more precise: No keyboard action possible. installation: from usb (iso x86_64 build 265) modifications: "nomodeset" and partitions, rest is default boot type: uefi (tried secure and normal) keyboard: usb partitions: /boot/efi FAT /boot ext2 lvm (encrypted) for /, /home, swap,... history: This setup worked fine in 13.1 and 13.2. additional info: If boot parameter "silent" and "quiet" is removed, I can see on console correct anouncement of usb keyboard when replugged. So usb subsystem is recognising keyboard. Tested with different keyboards, but no interaction possible. Hi guys! I'm trying to update to the recently released Tumbleweed snapshot and I am having the following problem with `zypper dup`: Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Computing distribution upgrade... Problem: libcurl4-32bit-7.45.0-1.1.x86_64 requires libnghttp2.so.14, but this requirement cannot be provided uninstallable providers: libnghttp2-14-1.3.4-1.1.i586[repo-oss] Solution 1: keep obsolete libcurl4-32bit-7.44.0-1.1.x86_64 Solution 2: install libnghttp2-14-1.3.4-1.1.i586 despite the inferior architecture Solution 3: break libcurl4-32bit-7.45.0-1.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/3/c] (c): I'm not sure what I am suppose to do. Is there an easy fix or should I fill a bug? Hi, OBS broke a feature required for our Tumbleweed release process (https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/issues/1326) so the normal release process does not work. Unfortunately our tool to handle the process wasn't prepared for that, so while it failed to release the ISOs to openQA, it did release the FTP tree - but it wasn't tested due to the lack of a NET.iso. Today it found the latest snapshot in testing (20151022) to be good, so it decided to publish what is there. Hi, Just tested it. It contains Qt 5.5.0, but as stated in https://news.opensuse.org/2015/10/28/rolling-awesome-of-the-day/ , Qt 5.5.0 brought some problems for Intel users. Almost 1000 fixes and improvements in Qt 5.5.1 not included in Leap?! Hi, I just installed leap on bare metal for the first time and ran into the problem that I can not enter the password for my encrypted partitions. To be more precise: No keyboard action possible. installation: from usb (iso x86_64 build 265) modifications: "nomodeset" and partitions, rest is default tested boot types: uefi (tried secure and normal) and bios keyboard: usb partitions: (only uefi setup): /boot/efi FAT /boot ext2 lvm (encrypted) for /, /home, swap,... history: This setup worked fine in 13.1 and 13.2. additional info: If boot parameter "silent" and "quiet" is removed, I can see on console correct anouncement of usb keyboard when replugged. So usb subsystem is recognising keyboard. Tested with different keyboards, but no interaction possible. Hello, I have been trying to install openQA on a recent version of Tumbleweed on my local machine to familiarise myself with this product. While I have followed the installation instructions from the relevant web page and the accompanying video, I have run into problems and would greatly appreciate some help in resolving them. I have full console outputs saved, but have not attached same as I am not sure what the conventions for attaching attachments on this mailing list are. I had done a clean reinstall with all disks erased and cmos removed to be dead sure it is "virgin". So after install of tubleweed (a part of getting the error on dublicates in fstab...that do not exist) everything worked. Once you stick in a usb device from the PC to the Hub or you change anything within the usb devices, the keyboard (branched to the hub) did loose functionality instantly. But it worked again normally if you changed directly to the usb outlet of the machine mainboard. I did lsusb recently and the only strange thing I saw was that the keyboard cherry was listet twice, but I do not know enough about usb and their controller issues to know if this is normal or not. Currently I can use the keyboard but only on the PC directly, not on the hub. The keyboards I have and that are concerned is a Cherry XT (so not brand new) and a well known MS Confort Curve 2000 (also very well known hardware). When the problem presented (identically on a 13.2 with stable kernel) it was after the update to 4.2 kernel, with the ultrabase and these two keyboards. But I had the very same problem also with Leap, so it is not bound to 4.2 afaiu. Will try to give you the outputs today. --- Alle Postfächer an einem Ort.
