Yesterday I installed fresh. Result was too much screwed up to make sense of it all. I tried zypper rm wicked, but couldn't get network to work except by using yast to delete NIC and add it back at every boot. Network(a)eth0.service refused to survive boot, if it ever got created at all. I couldn't find any wicked instructions anywhere on opensuse.org. Ever since systemd took over it waits for ntp to complete startup, which takes a long time on my machine. Is there any way I can make systemd start ntp, but not wait for it before it considers bringing up kdm? Hi, ejabberd is the famous XMPP server daemon. many public XMPP server are powered by ejabberd (https://xmpp.net/directory.php) As far as I know, Factory doesn't have any XMPP server software and this limits usage. Since upgrading the kernel to 3.13 I'm getting the above warning during shutdown. The corresponding change is here: http://lkml.org/lkml/2013/9/16/31 but it doesn't tell me what I should upgrade. From reading the comments I suppose that all occurences of "rmmod --wait" should be purged (from where?). The messages seem to be printed around the shutdown of kdm and NetworkManager, but there is probably a lot more going on that could trigger them.
