Hi, is there any way to avoid that check to fail? I know I can remove the full URL but this is a temporary thing. That file is not yet available since upstream is very slow in publishing tarballs for releases and many times we cannot/don't want to wait until they appear. So do I need to remove the full path? [opensuse-factory] brcms oops after tethering WLAN connection

Hi, I'm following factory closely and since about more then one week it is no longer possible for me to use tethering my notebook with my Nexus 4 over WLAN: Actually setting up the connection with NetworkManager is no problem. But if I do a HTTP request with a browser, my notebook will immediately and reliably get a kernel Oops, leaving me at the terminal with a blinking keyboard LED and no interaction possible. With a normal WLAN connection I do not have this problem! Hi all, I've just ran across an issue with Bluetooth in openSUSE 13.1; mainly, the GNOME Stack does not work with BlueZ 4.x anymore. There are several components that have been ported to Bluez 5 already; and, as most of the stuff is not relying on the library (as this has been marked obsolete by upstream anyway), not much was seen prior to actually finding a BT device to pair it. The D-Bus APi changed and, as a result, stuff relying on it simply has a 50% chance to work or not work. To make matters worse, we can't even just 'parallel install' bluez and bluez5, as the DBus services clash (same name space). So, we have the hard bullet to bite: either we update (Fedora decided to do so, see https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2013-August/187738.html for reference) or we accept to have a non-working BT stack in GNOME. Updating it would likely still leave a few breakages here and there; but KDE's BlueDevil for example does have support in git. The 2nd alternative would be to 'try to undo' the Bluez 5 porting in the GNOME Stack; No idea if and how well this will work; we would be the only distro with GNOME 3.10 running on Bluez 4. According to 3.10 release notes: "GNOME 3.10 includes a brand new application for finding and installing applications, called Software. It provides an integrated place to do all your software related tasks, like browsing, installing and removing applications, and viewing and installing software updates." [opensuse-factory] Bison update in Factory

Hi all, seems a few days ago we got a new Bison checkin into Factory, which causes a bunch of fallouts (e.g. gstreamer-0.10, libgnomeprint are just some I came across so far). Not surprisingly, of course, those are 'no longer maintained' code bases by their respective upstreams. And I have, in all honesty, no idea about bison / flex / yacc syntax. Anybody who know about this stuff willing to step up and help out solving those issues? Thanks a lot! Dominique NB: I really don't think we should unfreeze Factory 2 months prior to a release. It makes stuff for devs focusing on 13.1 really nasty, as our devel projects start failing for stuff which we do not have to worry (yet) for 13.1. Hi, I've upgraded from 12.3 to 13.1 but unfortunately, yast won't load. It looks like the culprit is 2013-09-20 14:05:03 <3> e6510.site(15413) [Y2Ruby] binary/YRuby.cc(callClient):235 cannot require yast:cannot load such file -- fast_gettext at /usr/lib64/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require' Do we have any information on the new requirements for yast? [opensuse-factory] kdenetwork3 build issues

Hello guys, I was looking into our failures and kdenetwork3 fails for quite time with OOM. Possibly it is caused by gcc4.8. But I have not enough C++ foo to figure out how to fix this. We need it rolling so we can still keep kde3 stuff in 13.1 so anyone feels like sorting it out? Cheers Tom
