[opensuse-factory] No usable network caused by failing avahi-autoipd

Recently I filed bug 844146against 13.1B1. I had the impression that it was caused by mkinitrd not doing a proper job, but from the output of the command below it was concluded that it is avahi-autoipd causing the trouble. I changed the title of the report to refelct this. [opensuse-factory] 13.1.rc1 YAST NFS client configuration makes system unbootable.

Using Yast NFS client configuration hangs at 50%. No way to exit but reboot. Renders the system unbootable. Apparently the NFS shares are trying to mount before the host can be located. Adding the NFS server to Hosts makes the system bootable and shares are mounted normally. This is the best I can explain it. How do I add this bug so it will get squashed? [opensuse-factory] 13.1 Beta 1 Questions.

installed 13.1 Beta 1 (from DVD) earlier this week, on my other disk. I then added the oss and nonoss repo's Code --------- http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/13.1/repo/oss/ http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/13.1/repo/non-oss/ --------- and did an update. Took forever. 1). Why did it update approximately 1700 package for Tex Live (looks like they were installed from the DVD for Beta 1 [clean install]? Are they all necessary or can I delete some or all of them? If only some what is the best way to get minimum number required? 2). Are the 13.1 update repo's out of sync. They appear to have older versions of a lot of the files? 3) I read 13.1 rc1 is available. Is it in a different repo than I used above or is the Distribution repo just not updated? Over all the install when great and the display looks good at 1920x1080 after I got the patched version of the Nvidia 325-15 driver installed. YaST updates appear faster once you get them selected. [opensuse-factory] openSUSE 13.1 RC1 released

Hello guys, With one day skew against the plan for mirror sync we at openSUSE team happily announce the release [1][2]. Apart from this lovely announcement from Jos we should start focusing a lot on the stability as I said in yesterdays mail. [3] Basically try to fill up factory with 13.1 fixes so it is more reliable and smoth to show up everone how great distro is done. While testing also focus on bugzilla skills and try to report as much things as possible there without using mailinglists or irc. We need to properly track and mitigate the issues to decide what really needs to go first and what next. With issues reported just here or IRC it is more work for me or coolo to remember those and try to figure out solutions. Hi, After upgrade to 13.1 I noticed the ModemManager process. It is one of the first things which is started after boot.
