LibreOffice scalc Is not accepting printed charcters again. Why has it stopped accepting typed in information again. I suspect also nothing else works. Last time I fixed it by downloading from 3.3.1 to 3.3.2. Hey Group; I see this error on a new install 11.4 x86-64 machine while compiling. If so, I can update the wiki page, but it would be nice to get a better repo designator for Tumbleweed than the current one. I believe it's currently: obs://build.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Tumbleweed The Evergreen project has it as just Evergreen without the prefix. But a big negative is that it also means packages can be "upgraded" from tumbleweed to a online update without the user being notified that something unusual is happening. In particular, a issue like the virtual-box one where the online update had a larger version number than the one in tumbleweed would cause problems / failures without even asking the user if it was okay. It's not clear to me if the version number conflict issue was resolved or not. If resolved, I like the "zypper up" approach instead of the "zypper dup --from Tumbleweed" approach. ==> details It's been working good for Evergreen as far as I know. (I'm on the Evergreen list.) [opensuse-factory] make it just work

Hello, This mail is not intended to launch a flame war, but to make proposals. The first goal of any application is to just work as expected. I mean that at least if installed with YaST and launched from kde it should load. I just tested a lot of multimedia applications that don't even load. I also made this week end at least three 11.4 install, *none* worked as expected. Please don't ask why, I didn't do this at home but on other people hardware I don't have at hand anymore, so I can't help (in other situation, I report bugs on bugzilla). But just for example, on one computer the live dvd (official one) don't work, it starts but clear the screen probably at the moment X launch (goes too fast to be sure), and crash - when openSUSE 11.3 runned on the computer and finally 11.4 did install without visible problem (at first glance). On an other computer, I noticed the grub menu was *not* written (error at the grub menu write stage), on an other, windows 7 was not correctly referenced (this is my computer, (hd0,0) had to be used for the sda2 partition! - yet to be reported). I just want to say that we should change a bit the release agenda. It's pretty evident that nobody can use factory seriously before late in the process. It's also obvious from my experience that nobody used some applications (if somebody did, a non starting application should have been noted). So we need at some moment (1 or 2 months before release) to test *all* the included aplications. We should have a web page (or an entire web site, some OBS side site) with a list of applications, and a tick box where everybody can see if the application have been tested or not and by how many people. We need also to have a better integrated workflow with Packman. Dear all, I've gotta say that I am not really the support oriented user of openSUSE, and though I've provided first line support in the past for well known PC Peripherals companies (ex: Logitech and Plextor), being in some cases certified for the job, I would like to point the importance of the susepaste client for those tasks. This is a very nice application that lives in the Contrib repositories and that can benefit a lot if included in openSUSE and in the default patterns for openSUSE. I find weird not see openSUSE Boosters or others trying to push this forward given that it works, it's developed 'in-house' and it can really make life far more easier for everyone. Please make it happen to Factory/default openSUSE Patterns for the next distro! As the community helpers on #suse could benefit a lot from it and it's something they can help to diffuse amongst users. I believe it was important to share this thought. I'd appreciate some testers if at all possible before I push it to the main Tumbleweed repository.
