Why is it every time I upgrade amarok becomes more of a pain in the tail. This is as root user calling amarok. This is a fresh load of 11.4 RC1 Yes I have gotten as much as possible from Packman but several dependencies are missing and then this DBUS headache. [opensuse-factory] Firefox from SuSE is failing to be called by Thunderbird

Hey Group; I sure am getting upset about everything that fails to work with every updated version of openSuSE. This time it is Firefox-4.010b4-1 from openSuSE. It can not even be replaced with a good version from Mozilla any longer. I used under 6 of 6 version 4.0.11 and even it worked but now nothing works. Except Opera Why is it that openSuSE fiddle around with things from Mozilla and Sun applications. Hey Group; No one offered a idea on how to fix libreoffice scalc. So I found it source.rpm I installed it a guess what is working - SCALC. [opensuse-factory] Prob with partition tool in 11.4rc1 installer?

I've encountered a minor issue with the partition tool in the 11.4 rc1 installer... (during the install) I go to the Expert Partitioner, and while in the System View > Linux, and I right click on any existing drive or partition. I am presented with a context menu with choices like Edit, Move, Resize, Delete. If I select any of these options, nothing happens. I can double-click on any partition and edit/'change it, or navigate to to Linux > Hard Disks > sda (etc). and edit/change the partition info, but it seems that the context menu - at least for me - isn't working. Anyone else encounter this? (I've looked through bnc, but didn't see anything similar in the reported bugs). [opensuse-factory] new version of gcc not compatible with older scripts?

after some updates to gcc & co, perhaps 10 days ago, i'm getting errors trying to compile programs that used to work fine, like GIMP from git, even nvidia...run files throw errors. in case of nvidia, not using the "-q" option allows me to disregard the compiler warning that i don't have a working gcc, and everything works fine. i haven't been able to figure out yet where & how GIMP checks for a working gcc. i assume similar things happen to other factory users, or is there something screwed up on my end? the error i'm getting is: "configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables" -- but it obviously can, since i've been building kernel modules with it... -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help(a)opensuse.org

Hello, I don't know how to contact openqa admins. I see no "contact" on openqa page. I work for the multimedia team, the goal is to make video install tutorials. [opensuse-factory] two update applets

Hello, you probably know that I always update from previous versions (with zypper dup nowadays) instead of doing a fresh installation. Now I have _two_ update applets sitting around in my KDE taskbar - one is the "old" kupdateapplet, one is the "new" KPackageKit applet. I'd say one update applet is more than enough ;-) - are there any plans to automatically remove one of them in upgrades from previous openSUSE releases?
