Novell recently introduced "SUSE Linux Enterprise Thin Client Solution" http://www.novell.com/news/press/novell-introduces-suse-linux-enterprise-th… Does someone here know if this TC solution is based on a netboot SLED10 image "only", or if it also possibly and alternatively can make use of the NX clients/server solution for Linux and Windows without the need to boot a new OS? Today, after a few minutes with the system up and with the screensaver activated, suddently the screen was freezed, and the Caps and Numlock leds begins to blinking (go on and off), and the system not responds to Alt+Ctrl+Del, and must power off it. I have installed OSS 10.3 alpha3 (or 4, the version in the repos of may 12), and kernel 2.6.21-4, KDE version 3.5.6 "release 38". It seems that dchp didn't released lease after shutdown. I can't recall that this happened before. I can see computer still listed in router after boot to 10.2 that has static network setup. [opensuse-factory] Kickoff menu 10.3 alpha 4 on x86_64

First good: I like Application tab as a second to the Favorites. Now bad: Kickoff menu has strange ways to switch betwen click to focus to a tab and focus on hower modes. Start Kickoff menu and hover works fine left and right. Hover over Favorite and click on it and hover right. Hover doesn't work for tabs 2 and 3 and then over tab 4 switches to tab 3. [opensuse-factory] [Alpha4 installation] SSH port is blocked - and I can't open it and other remarks

Hello all ############# # Problem # 1 ############# When I install openSUSE-10.3-Alpha4 I can't open the SSH port Problem details In the "Network configuration" window under the section "Firewall", the default is "* SSH port is blocked (open)" Despite clicking on (open) multiple times I couldn't get it to open Also I opened up the Firewall Configuration: Start-Up" window and selected "Allowed Services" and tried. No change. I tried removing SSH which was already present and re adding it. The "SSH port is blocked (open)" was still the active choice. ############# # Problem # 2 ############# Adding extra applications to the "default application pattern" is next to impossible (this is already been noted in the email "Alpha4 dependencies validation". I managed to a "smart" but if I didn't have the patiences to add anything else because it takes too long - I did manage to add one other application and there was a second wait when the "Evaluating package selection" just kept turning away.... way too long for my patience.. I finally gave up and re started the installation process (where I just added smart) because I figured it was faster. ############## # My wish list ############## Add smart to the "default application pattern".
