[opensuse-factory] How to change this status?

It did work for a while, until showed up that the KDE configmodule: personal settings, added parameters that caused the share to be 'unexisting'... After finding this, and testing the Yast samba module, this module was able to ad shares, that would be accesible. Until i removed a share that was added just for test, and not nessesary anymore.. I've noticed that python-elementtree was removed in Factory. Will it be returning? hi suse boot time is very slow, about 54 sec on my dual core 4200+, 1 gig of ram. I removed a lot of services. http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/91107/bootchart-png.html this kind of system should booted in less than 30 sec the optimisation could be change depending of the profile of the machine. home machine server .... for a home user, the login screen should display very early in the boot process. Network could start after this boot screen, same thing for cups. Instead of use bash, dash could be used. It's take less memory and start program faster. Instead of detecting at everyboot the harddware, suse could save the info and use it for everyboot. A boot option could be added to detect new hardware. This might be the time to look in to what Ubuntu has been doing? I seems they are putting in a lot of effort in a new system called "upstart". http://www.netsplit.com/blog/articles/2006/08/26/upstart-in-universe http://www.netsplit.com/blog/articles/category/upstart I'm definitely not an expert here, but from what I read it looks interesting. The system is event based and seems to be flexible enough to counter problems like where directories are.(local / remote) Has the openSUSE team been thinking about changing the startup system and working with Ubuntu on this? [opensuse-factory] Upgrading apt - your input is needed

Hi, I've been asked (by Richard Boes) to update apt to the one he's maintaining in the BS. This is based on a beta version of apt-rpm that supports repomd but does *not* work with synaptic. In deciding whether or not to update and drop synaptic I need your input, as I use neither apt nor synaptic.
