Plasma 5 incompatible..!!! with 13.2 packages:
x11-video-nvidiaG04, nvidia-glG04, nvidia-computeG04,
nvidia-gfxG04-kmp-desktop, nvidia-uvm-gfxG04-kmp-desktop
for Leap/tumbleweed we need updated packages or alternative packages..!!
see bugreport #360376
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360376
Bug #353520 is a Fedora bug so has nothing to do with Opensuse....
other (opensuse) users with same problem, please add logfiles/backtraces
thank you...

[opensuse-factory] Many empty directories in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64 and RPM SPEC failures
by Bjoern Voigt 21 Mar '16
by Bjoern Voigt 21 Mar '16
21 Mar '16
One of my openSUSE boxes runs since 2010 and has seen all openSUSE distributions in the time frame, now it runs with Tumbleweed.
After upgrading to newer distribution versions (e.g. openSUSE 13.1, 13.2, Leap 42.1) I always look for old packages, especially libraries which can be purged according to section "After the upgrade" in this HOWTO:
https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Offline_upgrade
Anyway, some trash can't be deleted.
One concrete example. Pulseaudio uses the directory /usr/lib64/pulse-8.0 for it's modules:
# ls /usr/lib64/pulse-8.0/modules
libalsa-util.so module-device-restore.so module-remap-sink.so
libavahi-wrap.so module-echo-cancel.so module-remap-source.so
[...]
But the following empty directories are also there from older already removed/upgraded Pulseaudio versions:
# ls -1d /usr/lib64/pulse-[0-7]*/modules
/usr/lib64/pulse-0.9.21/modules
/usr/lib64/pulse-0.9.22/modules
/usr/lib64/pulse-1.1/modules
/usr/lib64/pulse-3.0/modules
/usr/lib64/pulse-4.0/modules
/usr/lib64/pulse-5.0/modules
/usr/lib64/pulse-7.0/modules
Of course I can delete them with "rmdir".
But this is not the point.
My box has 286 empty directories in /usr/lib64 (184 of them not owned by an RPM package) and 477 empty directories in /usr/lib (411 of them not owned by an RPM package).
If you want to scan your openSUSE system:
# find /usr/lib -type d -empty | wc -l
# rpm -qf $(find /usr/lib -type d -empty)|grep "not owned"|wc -l
I am relatively sure, that most of the old empty directories are caused by removed/upgraded old RPM packages with missing "%dir" options for some directories.
But what is a good strategy here? I can manually check and delete the empty directories. And I can write a bug report for every single RPM package with missing "%dir" options. But this would be time-consuming.
I would prefer an automatic RPM check in build service for this. Is there something or something planned?
Greetings,
Björn

I guess "yes" is the right one here?

File conflicts happen when two packages attempt to install files with the same name but different contents. If you continue, conflicting files will be replaced losing the previous content.
Continue? [yes/no] (no):
Have a nice day,

Am I the only one to see thousand of lines like this when using chromium
Mar 20 17:56:00 qt-kt.labaroche.ioda.net kernel: audit: type=1326 audit(1458492960.485:257): auid=1502 uid=1502 gid=1500 ses=1 pid=6220 comm="chromium" exe="/usr/lib64/chromium/chromium" sig=0 arch=c000003e syscall=273 compat=0 ip=0x7f04d0cdd3f4 code=0x50000

the last line is repeated 4x
the block is repeating for each browsing action in chromium
If it's somewhat nice to see what's happening on a system, I'm qualifying this as (kill my ssd with stupid log entry :-)
I know that normally systemd-journald/logger will try to pick all event. But I don't know where to disable such level of log
Why should I have audit message when I deliberate turn audit off ?
systemctl status auditd.service
● auditd.service - Security Auditing Service
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/auditd.service; disabled; vendor preset: enabled)
Active: inactive (dead)
What didn't I understand, or its a mixed bug?
Thanks for any suggestions.

- Revert "Added pv kernel profile"
There is no kernel-pv
This reverts commit 8ca75eeee4bd7999a20ed050d9ebe4ba75607c5d.
- v7.03.63 released
- Use shim-install to setup EFI secure boot
This fixes (bnc#968475)
- Added pv kernel profile
- rpm: require tar>=1.2.7 for --xattrs support
tar 1.2.6 and earlier doesn't have support for the --xattrs options
(which is necessary in order to build valid Docker image root
filesystems).

- travis: install newest version of GNU tar from trusty source
--xattrs support was added quite some time ago, but Travis doesn't seem
to have a recent enough version of GNU tar. Realistically, most
up-to-date systems do, so we can just install the latest version here.
In order to install the latest version, we have to build it from the
Ubuntu 14.04 source repo.
Signed-off-by: Aleksa Sarai <asarai(a)suse.com>
- modules: KIWIContainerBuilder: preserve xattrs
tar doesn't preserve extended attributes by default, causing Docker
images to not have any correct set-capabilities bits set on binaries
such as ping. Fix this by adding the --xattrs flag to the tar command
run to generate the root filesystem image.
Signed-off-by: Aleksa Sarai <asarai(a)suse.com>
- v7.03.62 released
- v7.03.61 released
- Fixed gce disk format
The order of the files in the tarball is important. The first
entry must be the manifest.json followed by disk.raw. In addition
the style of the manifest.json has been adapted too. A space after

==== perl-IO-Socket-SSL ====
Version update (2.016 -> 2.024)
- updated to 2.024
see /usr/share/doc/packages/perl-IO-Socket-SSL/Changes
2.024 2016/02/06
- Work around issue where the connect fails on systems having only a loopback
interface and where IO::Socket::IP is used as super class (default when
available). Since IO::Socket::IP sets AI_ADDRCONFIG by default connect to
localhost would fail on this systems. This happened at least for the tests,
see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=813796
Workaround is to explicitely set GetAddrInfoFlags to 0 if no GetAddrInfoFlags
is set but the Family/Domain is given. In this case AI_ADDRCONFIG would not
be useful anyway but would cause at most harm.
2.023 2016/01/30
- OpenSSL 1.0.2f changed the behavior of SSL shutdown in case the TLS connection
was not fully established (commit: f73c737c7ac908c5d6407c419769123392a3b0a9).
This somehow resulted in Net::SSLeay::shutdown returning 0 (i.e. keep trying)
which caused an endless loop. It will now ignore this result in case the TLS
connection was not yet established and consider the TLS connection closed
instead.
2.022 2015/12/10
- fix stringification of IPv6 inside subjectAltNames in Utils::CERT_asHash.
Thanks to Mark.Martinec[AT]ijs[DOT]si for reporting in #110253
2.021 2015/12/02
- Fixes for documentation and typos thanks to DavsX and jwilk.
- Update PublicSuffx with latest version from publicsuffix.org
2.020 2015/09/20
- support multiple directories in SSL_ca_path as proposed in RT#106711
by dr1027[AT]evocat[DOT]ne. Directories can be given as array or as string
with a path separator, see documentation.
- typos fixed thanks to jwilk https://github.com/noxxi/p5-io-socket-ssl/pull/34
2.019 2015/09/01
- work around different behavior of getnameinfo from Socket and Socket6 by
using a different wrapper depending on which module I use for IPv6.
Thanks to bluhm for reporting.
2.018 2015/08/27
- RT#106687 - startssl.t failed on darwin with old openssl since server
requested client certificate but offered also anon ciphers
2.017 2015/08/24
- checks for readability of files/dirs for certificates and CA no longer use
- r because this is not safe when ACLs are used. Thanks to BBYRD, RT#106295
- new method sock_certificate similar to peer_certificate based on idea of
Paul Evans, RT#105733
- get_fingerprint can now take optional certificate as argument and compute
the fingerprint of it. Useful in connection with sock_certificate.
- check for both EWOULDBLOCK and EAGAIN since these codes are different on
some platforms. Thanks to Andy Grundman, RT#106573
- enforce default verification scheme if none was specified, i.e. no longer
just warn but accept. If really no verification is wanted a scheme of
'none' must be explicitly specified.
- support different cipher suites per SNI hosts
- remove perl-IO-Socket-SSL_fix_offline.patch
==== perl-XML-XPath ====
Version update (1.33 -> 1.34)

Hi fellow tumbleweed users.
After having upgraded to the latest snapshot, my tumbleweed virtual machine again fails to light up display. According to system journal, vboxadd service failed with error “/var/lib/VBoxGuestAditions/config not found”, and it does not help to reinstall guest addon packages.
Does anyone have a remedy?
Kind regards,
Howard

==== cups-backends ====
- Since cups-filters version 1.6.0 the beh backend is provided
by the cups-filters RPM as /usr/lib/cups/backend/beh which is
a C re-write of the beh backend written in Perl that is still
provided here but now named /usr/lib/cups/backend/beh.pl
to avoid that cups-backends conflicts with cups-filters.
==== cups-filters ====
Version update (1.4.0 -> 1.8.2)
Subpackages: cups-filters-cups-browsed cups-filters-foomatic-rip cups-filters-ghostscript
- Version upgrade to 1.8.2
* Allow disabling dependencies on Ghostscript and Foomatic
(Bug #1342).
* cups-browsed: Optionally generate also local queues pointing
to remote raw queues. Usually only queues pointing to remote
queues with PPD/driver are created (Debian bug #814020,
Debian bug #756724).
- Version upgrade to 1.8.1
* cups-browsed: Do not disable queues which still have jobs (and
therefore cannot be removed) when avahi-daemon goes away, the
print server is most probably still available and printing can
be continued. Especially important on mobile devices where
avahi-daemon is shut down when the print dialog is closed (and
the job(s) still printing).
- Version upgrade to 1.8.0
* COPYING: Replaced the COPYING file by a file in Debian format,
derived from Debian's file but updated and corrected.
* braille: Added info about additional packages needed for
Braille printing to the README file.
* braille: Let the Braille filters use lou_translate of
liblouis if the more sophisticated file2brl of liblouisutdml
is not installed. This is decided on at run time, so later
installation of liblouisutdml will let the filters
automatically switch to file2brl.
* braille: Allow to build with Braille support also if
liblouis is not installed at build time.
* braille: Added checks for the presence of helper tools, to
get clear messages in the CUPS error_log if something is
missing.
* Fixed copyright headers of files inherited from CUPS or
derived from CUPS, pointing to COPYING as license info file,
removing Apple exceptions, removing hints that a missing
license info file can be found at www.cups.org, and removing
"$Id" SVN file ID placeholders.
* Updated COPYING file for missing implicitclass and beh
backends.
- Version upgrade to 1.7.0
* cups-browsed: Added possibility to trigger the auto shutdown
by the queues of cups-browsed being without jobs. Before
auto shutdown was only possible when all queues have gone
away. This allows auto shutdown on mobile devices where
avahi-daemon is also used for other things than printing.
- Version upgrade to 1.6.0
* cups-browsed: Fixed use of CUPS domain socket, both
detection during build process and permission check at
runtime.
* foomatic-rip: Fixed buffer overflow when reading environment
variables CUPS_FONTPATH, CUPS_DATADIR, and GS_LIB (Bug
[#1336]).
* beh: Introduced beh, the Backend Error Handler, a wrapper
backend to make handling of backend errors more
configurable. This backend is a C re-write of the beh
backend written in Perl which was part of the former
foomatic-filters package. Several people asked for beh
getting moved to cups-filters.
* braille: Make image printing working also if ImageMagick
generates formatted images without header.
* braille: If the user does not select a Braille translation,
let the embosser do the translation.
* cups-browsed: Added version info to help screen and start-up
in debug mode, call help screen also via "--version" option.
* cups-browsed: Minor improvements in help screen and man page.
- Version upgrade to 1.5.0
* cups-browsed: Allow use of an alternative configuration file
via the "-c" command line option.
* cups-browsed: Allow supplying configuration settings via the
command line using the "-o" command line option.
* cups-browsed: Command line help via the "-h" or "--help"
command line option.

the flag.
- Add efivar-0.21-gcc6.diff to fix strict-aliasing issue.

and that breaks with its use of -Werror.

==== git ====
Version update (2.7.2 -> 2.7.3)
Subpackages: git-core git-cvs git-daemon git-email git-gui git-svn git-web gitk
- git 2.7.3:
* "git show 'HEAD:Foo[BAR]Baz'" did not interpret the argument as a
rev, i.e. the object named by the the pathname with wildcard
characters in a tree object.
* "git rev-parse --git-common-dir" used in the worktree feature
misbehaved when run from a subdirectory.
* The "v(iew)" subcommand of the interactive "git am -i" command was
broken in 2.6.0 timeframe when the command was rewritten in C.
* "git merge-tree" used to mishandle "both sides added" conflict with
its own "create a fake ancestor file that has the common parts of
what both sides have added and do a 3-way merge" logic; this has
been updated to use the usual "3-way merge with an empty blob as
the fake common ancestor file" approach used in the rest of the
system.
* The documentation did not clearly state that the 'simple' mode is
now the default for "git push" when push.default configuration is
not set.
* Test adjustments for GNU grep, obsoleting
git-2.7.1-fix-tests-grep-2.23.patch
* "git config section.var value" to set a value in per-repository
configuration file failed when it was run outside any repository,
but didn't say the reason correctly.
==== google-noto-fonts ====

[Changes]
- No functional changes from 0.31
0.31 2016-02-14 07:33:50-07:00 America/Mazatlan (TRIAL RELEASE)
[Fixed]
- Application of layers to handles during and after capture now attempts
to more accurately duplicate the original layers, including potential
duplicate layers. Because of the unusual ways that layers are ordered
and applied, exact duplication is not guaranteeed, but this should be
better that what Capture::Tiny did before.
- Avoids a hard crash on Windows with Perl < 5.20 if a fork occurs in a
capture block. Also documented the risks and lack of support for
forks in capture blocks.
==== perl-Date-Manip ====
Version update (6.52 -> 6.53)
- updated to 6.53
see /usr/share/doc/packages/perl-Date-Manip/Changes
==== perl-DateTime ====
Version update (1.21 -> 1.25)
- updated to 1.25
see /usr/share/doc/packages/perl-DateTime/Changes
1.25 2016-03-06
- DateTime->from_object would die if given a DateTime::Infinite object. Now it
returns another DateTime::Infinite object. Reported by Greg Oschwald. RT
[#112712].
1.24 2016-02-29
- The last release partially broke $dt->time. If you passed a value to use as
unit separator, this was ignored. Reported by Sergiy Zuban. RT #112585.
1.23 2016-02-28
- Make all DateTime::Infinite objects return the system's representation of
positive or negative infinity for any method which returns a number of
string representation (year(), month(), ymd(), iso8601(), etc.). Previously
some of these methods could return "Nan", "-Inf--Inf--Inf", and other
confusing outputs. Reported by Greg Oschwald. RT #110341.
1.22 2016-02-21 (TRIAL RELEASE)
- Fixed several issues with the handling of non-integer values passed to
from_epoch().
This method was simply broken for negative values, which would end up being
incremented by a full second, so for example -0.5 became 0.5.
The method did not accept all valid float values. Specifically, it did not
accept values in scientific notation.
Finally, this method now rounds all non-integer values to the nearest
millisecond. This matches the precision we can expect from Perl itself (53
bits) in most cases.
Patch by Christian Hansen. GitHub #11.
==== perl-DateTime-TimeZone ====
Version update (1.95 -> 1.96)
- updated to 1.96

was placed before the closing brace of an anonymous sub with
a signature, if it was in a list. Thanks to Dmytro Zagashev.

given to the closing brace of an anonymous sub in a list when the -lp
parameter was set.

and Dmytro for patches.
- RT #106885. Added string bitwise operators ^. &. |. ~. ^.= &.= |.=
- Fixed RT #107832 and #106492, lack of vertical alignment of two lines
when -boc flag (break at old commas) is set. This bug was
inadvertantly introduced in previous bug fix RT #98902.
- Some common extensions to Perl syntax are handled better.
In particular, the following snippet is now foratted cleanly:
method deposit( Num $amount) {
$self->balance( $self->balance + $amount );
}
A new flag -xs (--extended-syntax) was added to enable this, and the default
is to use -xs.

==== python-lxml ====
Version update (3.4.4 -> 3.5.0)
- update to version 3.5.0:
* Unicode string results failed XPath queries in PyPy.
* LP#1497051: HTML target parser failed to terminate on exceptions
and continued parsing instead.
* Deprecated API usage in doctestcompare.
- changes from version 3.5.0b1:
* cleanup_namespaces() accepts a new argument keep_ns_prefixes that
does not remove definitions of the provided prefix-namespace
mapping from the tree.
* cleanup_namespaces() accepts a new argument top_nsmap that moves
definitions of the provided prefix-namespace mapping to the top of
the tree.
* LP#1490451: Element objects gained a cssselect() method as known
from lxml.html. Patch by Simon Sapin.
* API functions and methods behave and look more like Python
functions, which allows introspection on them etc. One side effect
to be aware of is that the functions now bind as methods when
assigned to a class variable. A quick fix is to wrap them in
staticmethod() (as for normal Python functions).
* ISO-Schematron support gained an option error_finder that allows
passing a filter function for picking validation errors from
reports.
* LP#1243600: Elements in lxml.html gained a classes property that
provides a set-like interface to the class attribute. Original
patch by masklinn.
* LP#1341964: The soupparser now handles DOCTYPE declarations,
comments and processing instructions outside of the root
element. Patch by Olli Pottonen.
* LP#1421512: The docinfo of a tree was made editable to allow
setting and removing the public ID and system ID of the
DOCTYPE. Patch by Olli Pottonen.
* LP#1442427: More work-arounds for quirks and bugs in pypy and
pypy3.
* lxml.html.soupparser now uses BeautifulSoup version 4 instead of
version 3 if available.
* Memory errors that occur during tree adaptations (e.g. moving
subtrees to foreign documents) could leave the tree in a crash
prone state.
* Calling process_children() in an XSLT extension element without an
output_parent argument failed with a TypeError. Fix by Jens
Trger.
* GH#162: Image data in HTML data URLs is considered safe and no
longer removed by lxml.html.clean JavaScript cleaner.
* GH#166: Static build could link libraries in wrong order.
* GH#172: Rely a bit more on libxml2 for encoding detection rather
than rolling our own in some cases. Patch by Olli Pottonen.
* GH#159: Validity checks for names and string content were
tightened to detect the use of illegal characters early. Patch by
Olli Pottonen.
* LP#1421921: Comments/PIs before the DOCTYPE declaration were not
serialised. Patch by Olli Pottonen.
* LP#659367: Some HTML DOCTYPE declarations were not
serialised. Patch by Olli Pottonen.
* LP#1238503: lxml.doctestcompare is now consistent with stdlib's
doctest in how it uses + and - to refer to unexpected and missing
output.
* Empty prefixes are explicitly rejected when a namespace mapping is
used with ElementPath to avoid hiding bugs in user code.
* Several problems with PyPy were fixed by switching to Cython 0.23.
==== python-packaging ====
Version update (15.3 -> 16.5)
- update to 16.5:
* Fix a regression in parsing requirements with whitespaces between the comma
separators.
* Fix a regression in parsing requirements like ``foo (==4)``.
* Fix a bug where ``packaging.requirements:Requirement`` was overly strict when
matching legacy requirements.
* Add a function that implements the name canonicalization from PEP 503.
* Implement requirement specifiers from PEP 508.
* Relicense so that packaging is available under *either* the Apache License,
Version 2.0 or a 2 Clause BSD license.

==== ruby-common ====
- Since rubygems 2.5.0 the default version in the gem bin stub
changed from '>= 0' to '>= 0.a'. This was done to allow
prerelease versions. Our patching script didn't take the '.a'
into account and generated version fields like '= 0.10.1.a'
instead of the expected '= 0.10.1'. This fix accounts for the
'.a'.

/usr/bin/sqlite3 to libsqlite3 instead of statically using it.
- Move autoreconf call to build section, where it belongs.
