LaserJet won't print from this OpenSUSE-TW computer. (It did, but not now.)
Print jobs get stuck in the queue. lprm will only remove stuck items one
at a
time--I thought that it would delete all the queues at once, but it
won't. Root
lprm -P (printer name) needed to clear all the queues one at a time. Ping
of that printer produces an error:
doug@linux1:~> ping 192.168.1.29
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libesets_pac.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be

That printer will print fine from a different computer (and a different OS.)
Ping from the other computer shows no error.
I don't know what to do next. Suggestions?

Of course not, as it is not an rpm.
Probably there is an "uninstall" option somewhere, maybe a menu entry,
windows style.

I don't know what I would do in your feet.
I think I prefer a reinstall, but I dread fighting your printer
installation again.

I found a 3-page tutorial from Seiko as to how to diagnose a watch problem,
nicely illustrated and in color. I would like to copy this to some app
from which
it could be printed out on a color printer and saved. Is this possible,
and if so,
how? (OS TW) Obviously a print-screen routine will save pieces of the
illo,
but then all would have to be printed and pasted together, which seems
like a
clumsy way to do things.
Thanx--doug
Please help me rename this file eset_nod32av_64bit_en(1).linux in my
/home/doug/Downloads directory
so as to get rid of the ( 1 ). I thought I knew how, and the man doesn't
seem to help, and it keeps coming
back with the paren section, thus:
doug@linux1:~/Downloads> rename eset_nod32av_64bit_en\(1\).linux
eset_nod32av_64bit_en.linux /home/doug/Downloads
It doesn't complain, but it doesn't do the job, either.
Thanx. --doug
Hi,
Latest zypper upgrades driven tho the error in the subject and my system
clock stopped to sync via NTP.
Do you know any fast solution for this?
Thanks!

Hi,
I just learned today from a KDE tool called "Discover". Bengt Gördén
said "It helps users to find software they might want easily and
quickly", and Daniel Morris posted a nice screenshot at
<https://susepaste.org/60719239>
Well, here it doesn't work.
At first start, it asks for my PGP password to one of my identities - WHY?
Anyway, I type it, and after a little way, claims:
"unable to load applications,
Please verify Internet connectivity".
Which is obviously absurd, there is internet connectivity, as proved by
me sending emails.
I'm using Leap 15.2 and XFCE.

I have the same password as boot and as my user. CUPS doesn't like that
password, and I have no other.

Apparently there is no default. When I ask a page (or pages) to print, I
get a dialog asking which printer.
The printers do not come up with names in the sequences you show, and I
had no luck changing the defaults
for the Epson, altho the information that is provided shows what's
wrong. here's the sequence at my place:
doug@linux1:~> lpstat -a

and so on. . . .

My Epson printer will try to print on a European size instead of letter
with source material that does not
explicitly specify to use letter (8.5 x 11 inches). The LaserJet is OK
with the US size. Where and how should
I change the default size for the Epson printer, please?

If I boot Leap-15.1 on my destktop with
the guitar already plugged into the mic
jack I hear a click as soon as the boot
begins and can play before the log-in
dialog even appears.
Doing the same thing on my Asus-g73 I
will NOT hear the guitar until I launch
Audacity and launch a recording session.
Same OS, same update, the desktop has a
Xonar card the g73 the built-in one, both
with a line-in jack.
