This noise in journal I would like to get rid of without enabling ipv6. ISTR seeing how to do
this recently, but cannot find it anywhere in my notes or Googling.
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1 in /etc/sysctl.conf doesn't help.

Hi All--
I am having trouble with an on-board nic and to troubleshoot I was asked for a
wireshark file. It is about 1.5 MB in size I wanted to put on susepaste. But
no matter how I held my mouth, the uploaded file was 0 MB. No errors no hints
no help. The list of files for opensuse paste did not include pcapng is that
my problem? My googling was no help either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hey, I have a machine that was upgraded from Leap 42.3 to Leap 15.0.
It still uses PostgreSQL 9.6 and starts it automatically in the systemd
service (postgresql.service).
How can I migrate this to use PostgreSQL 10? It's already installed but I'm
not sure how to proceed. Do I also need to upgrade databases with pg_upgrade?
regards

Hi,
Echoing the reports at [1], after upgrading to 20181018 desktop
animations in Gnome are _very_ slow, including:
- entering the 'app search mode' using the start key
- typing there is slow as well, slight lag in typing, large lag in
displaying results
- moving windows left/right using Start+Left/Start+Right
- displaying the 'system menu' at the top left (user/sound/shutdown
etc)
Any suggestions on how to fix it are welcome. Well, except snapshot
rollback, I have an old encrypted boot setup which does not support
rollbacks.
Thanks!
Robert

Some time ago I was fiddling with okular's settings [Configuration/Configure Okular]. I'm not sure what I did, but since then the 'File', 'Configuration' and 'Help' menus have had their titles replaced with the words 'No text'.
'Edit', 'View', 'Go', 'Bookmarks' and 'Tools' are unchanged.
The menus still work.
If I knew where these variables were stored I could remove that file and re-install okular. Removing and re-installing doesn't work, which means the changes I made are persisting, which is annoying.

tumbleweed updates using dup.
can print to this printer from three windows 10 machines
can ping 192.168.1.12 from three windows 10 machines
cannot ping from 3 tw and one 42.2 box
hp-setup cannot detect printer, 192.168.1.12, on my network from 4
openSUSE boxes.
firewall off makes no difference
I can setup the printer from yast and from localhost:631 but cannot print.
I am lost, what to do next?
fwiw, I have another networked printer, 192.168.1.197, HP OfficeJet Pro

Hi,
now that I have a newer system I wanted to use the old
componets for another tumbleweed system.
Problem is I can't get it to boot unless I use the supergrub cd...I
would like it to just boot, but when I set
the bios to use the hard drive all it says is "Loading Operating
System" and that's it. It is on two old scsi
drives. The install goes fine. Something i'm not doing? The drives
are running off an adaptec scsi controller.
Need more info? Thanks,
mike

I have been having two seemingly related problems with openSUSE
TumbleWeed on my HP Envy x360 laptop, using Plasma with
NetworkManager.
At seemingly random intervals my network connection will suddenly stop
working. It still shows that it is connected, but the data transfer
rate drops to zero. I can't even ping. I can disconnect from the
network, but if I try to reconnect, Plasma freezes. If I try to
reconnect through SystemSettings, SystemSettings freezes. This
happens both with my WiFi and with two different USB ethernet ports.
If I try to switch in YaST to wicked it doesn't help. If I try to
restart NewtorkManager services it doesn't help.
If I try to shut down or restart the computer after this, the shutdown
or restart hangs. If I look at the command line output, I get a bunch
of "waiting for stop jobs" messages. The stop jobs have a timeout,
but when the timeout finishes the time limit just extends for those
jobs and more stop jobs get added. I have waited over an hour with no
shutdown occurring. This does not happen if I shutdown or restart
before the network issue occurs, the shutdown takes less than a
second.
I have no idea how to begin debugging this. I have looked at the logs
but nothing pops out as being an obvious issue. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I wanted to use strongswan's forecast plugin, but it seems that it isn't
included in the package for Leap 15.0. Is that correct and if so, why is
that? According to the history file, it should be included since
strongswan 5.3.x and Leap 15.0 contains 5.6.0.
Thx and bye.
Michael.
