I just got bitten by the tiny PC (not Raspberry Pi) bug, and am getting one which comes with the (dreaded) Windows 11 image waiting to install. Well, I don't want to install that, I want a pure OpenSUSE box... but I want, since I "by default" (that "the fault" is that I have no choice--pun intended) have a Win 11 image just waiting on the drive to install, is there a way to download that image and use it on a different computer? (I'm not trying to do anything against the law. Just my choice.) Can this be done? Does it make sense, or is the image specifically tied to the one PC? Thank you for any advice. Mark

Support, some Frame.work laptop apparently features some rare? amd based pcie wifi card named amd rz616 > <https://frame.work/de/en/products/amd-rz616-wi-fi-6e> is this supported in current leap 15.5? i have never before manually installed drivers on the linux platform but all my hardware that i absolutely needed came with kernel built-in driver and was thus enabled especially such essential communcations chips such as ethernet and related. any hints on leap 15.5 or slowroll? any andvice on how to run such a device with opensuse? how can i become highroller on slowroll? ;p ty

Video recording

Hi I am trying to record a video from my webcam. Guvcview does a nice job recording the video but is unable to record sound. I have a logitech c920 webcam and I've tried several other programs with similar or worse results. Perhaps the best so far other than guvcview is perhaps obs studio but the lag in the video is terrible. Just wondering if anyone else has successfully recorded a video from their webcam including sound. Is anyone, attempting to fix guvcview as this seems to be a problem since 2021? Any thought or suggestions would be most welcomed. Thanks

Configuring default gateway for two interfaces.

Dear Support, I have a problem with configuring a default gateway for 2 ethernet interfaces in openSUSE. When I start the network service, the configuration happens only for one of the interfaces, and the other one is not able to use the gateway. The ip route command also shows that the default gateway is only configured for one interface. I tried configuring the interfaces by editing /etc/sysconfig/network/routes and /etc/sysconfig/network/ifroute-eth? files, by ip route command and also through YaST - neither worked. What should the configuration look like in my case? I am using openSUSE Leap 15.4. Thank you for your help. Szymon

No graphical environment after latest snapshot

Hi, My son's system fails to get into a graphical environment after the zypper dup --no-allow-vendor-change issued yesterday (to TW 20230917, kernel 6.5.3.-1-default). Trying to issue startx, the Xorg.0.login his home environment says "Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module¨. Is something wrong with this snapshot? (We thought about doing a snapper rollback, but snapper says snapper is not configured - isn't that done automagically when installing TW? It is configured in my own system, and I can't remember having done that myself.) Thanks again for any suggestions! regards, Jogchum

mailinglist web renderer doesnt render html only mails or something. can we please ban html mails?

Dear kind sirs and madams of openSuSE, the web renderer, the website meaning <https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/> shows only downloadable .html attachments for silly html-only mails. can we please ban those mails already or if you must, as this is a webservice, and i frequently browse these webpages called websites and webservers, i do wonder why it actually has such troubles displaying html only sent emails to begin with? i rarely use my email client or email account but mostly browse webpages. same holds true for browsing interesting threads and posts on <https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/> please make it display html emails sent to these lists, properly. wondering why nobody cares for essential stuff and basics? thanks in advance anyways hope this gets sorted. ty
