Hi,
For some time I've been using a private repo for various programs I've
repackaged. It's a very simple setup based on createrepo.
Now my TW machine refuses to use this repo, complaining that
File 'repomd.xml' from repository 'lmn_private' is signed with an
unknown key '.....'
I've done the following checks:
1. Downloaded $REPO/repodata/repomd.xml
2. Downloaded $REPO/repodata/repomd.xml.asc
3. Ran gpg --verify repomd.xml.asc repomd.xml
The output matches the key reported by zypper.
4. Verified that the key is known to rpm using rpm -qi gpg-pubkey-...-.....
The body of the key known to RPM and the public key used to sign the
packages are identical.
The verification fails on my TW machine, with
zypper-1.14.5-1.1.x86_64
libzypp-17.3.1-1.1.x86_64
But works on a Leap 42.3 server with
zypper-1.13.32-5.12.1.x86_64
libzypp-16.15.6-5.12.1.x86_64
I'm not sure where to go next from here, what else can I try?
Thanks,
Robert

It is recognized without problem by his windows setup but at my Tumbleweed
I see no activity.
How can I start activating this USB device?

Hi,
i changed my tumbleweed from susefirewall2 to firewalld
problem now:
nfs works when i use midnight commander to browse or copy files.
nfs did NOT work if i like to open a file on a nfs directory
with libreoffice.
libreoffice completely stops response.
when i stop firewwalld it starts to react again.
so i guess some "magic" port must additionally opened
(what was before automatically opened in susefirewall2)
================
my setup:
i have serveral tumbleweed (and older opensuse) systems, using nfs as host
and client to be able to go from every computer to every other
(all only ipv4 systems, ipv6 disabled, static addresses).
was working fine with tumbleweed and susefirewall2
in yast2 firewalld assigned to my network bridge and adapter "home"
and opened/set up for for "home":
mdns (no idea what it is for, it was open) 5353 udp
mountd (without this nfs not working) 20048 tcp 20048 udp
nfs3 (without this nfs not working) 2049 tcp 2049 udp
rpc-bind (without this nfs not working) 111 tcp 111 udp
samba (beause i later on need also a samba server running) 139 udp+tcp 445 udp+tcp
(did i need other things to open??? (like for nfs????))
ssh 22tcp
x11 (needed for SOME graphical ssh output) 6000-60063 udp+tcp
=====================
question a)
what port (service name) i miss here to get the nfs also with libreoffice to work.
question b)
how did i see in an old setup (susefirewall2) what ports are open
(not the service names inside yast2 these where in my old setup ONLY NFS-client NFS-server SSH-server
but there must be more ports behind this "synonyms" than in the new firewalld-yast setup)
question c)
how did i see in a firewalld setup (or some log file) what port libreoffice
was ask for an was blocked.
question d)
did i have to open for samba more ports(service-names-in-yast)
(as i also need not only "nfs3" for nfs (+mountd+rpc-bind)
===============================
thanks in advance

Hi,
since several weeks https://software.opensuse.org/
is (on all my machines) unbelievable slow, and search for packets did sometimes
not find things.
often i get a:
504 Gateway Time-out
(i do not have internal gateways, so it must be a error from opensuse)
i read somewhere in a mailinglist that the search engine has problems,
are there plans to solve this, is there a time line when it will
work again?
or did only i have this problems, and if, how to find whats going on?
or did we have to search all home and additional repos by directory
to get correct results?

Hello all,
ever since I moved one machine from Leap 42.3 to 15, I encounter issues with
high disk load and akonadi-traffic.
This morning kmail failed to start completely. Message:
The Email program encountered a fatal error and will terminate now.
The error was:
Failed to fetch the resource collection.
What I tried: akonadictl vaccum/fsck - no change
backup of ~/.local/share/akonadi and ~/.config/akonadi, changing the DB driver
in akonadiserverrc to postgres and starting again - same issue remains
In akonadiconsole I can see that it is re-syncing all files. Nevertheless,
kmail fails to start.
Any idea what I could try?
Thanks

How do I open the correct ports in the new firewall program to allow NFS clients in my LAN to connect to my NFS server?

Hi, I've bought an HP 15 laptop where neither blue tooth or wifi works
under both 42.3 and Leap 15.0. Of course it works perfectly under
windows 10. I googled and found that Larry Finger maintains a git hub
repository of such drivers and I checked out rtlwifi_new which has my
RTL8723DE driver src but it fails to build most probably due to the
Leap:15.0 kernel being altered.
Can anybody help, I'm currently stumped.
Thanks

Hi again,
I still face an issue on the Desktop I have converted from Leap 42.3 to 15.
Desktop (KDE) is partly unresponsive for 2 Minutes, full load on both CPU
cores, most likely due to disk-activities (baloo....). Not even CRTL-ESC is
working during this time.
Is there any tweak to make it more responsive?
- Different kind of Kernel or Kernel scheduler? Currently running the default
kernel.
- any idea to reduce the priority of baloo in order to reduce the disk
activities?
Dual Core Intel G4400(a)3.3 GHz, 8G RAM, MSI H110M PRO-D Motherboard
Any additional information needed?
Thanks

Hello,
I just installed with maximum defaults a leap 15.
no problem for user, but I can't access root;
not yast2, not alt Fx terminal, not su... passwd refused as invalid
rescue disk allow changing the pass with no better result. My pas
include upper and lower case, and sign
typing the pass in the user line (to test) gives exactly what I want,
but in passwd mine do not give access
google do not give result
any idea?
there is nothing useful on this (given as trash) computer. UEFI, secure
boot boots ok
thanks
