Tumbleweed: Bluetooth File Transfer is "Buggy"

Hello, I will not go to open another bug-report for this issue, since I guess it being spread away on many different systems around, independently of the specific hardware. GeoApps TW library package upgrade issues (libgeos3 & libqwt6)

Hi - Just an fyi, when trying to upgrade TW today, zypper is reporting incompatibilities with a couple of GeoApps packages: /***** Problem: problem with the installed libgeos3_11_1-3.11.1-52.13.x86_64 Solution 1: install libgeos3_11_1-3.11.1-1.1.x86_64 from vendor openSUSE replacing libgeos3_11_1-3.11.1-52.13.x86_64 from vendor obs:// build.opensuse.org/Application:Geo Solution 2: keep obsolete libgeos3_11_1-3.11.1-52.13.x86_64 Problem: problem with the installed libqwt6_2-6.2.0-5.88.x86_64 ****/ I'm currently on the 6.2.1-1-default kernel. Should I post this to the Application:Geo maintainers (at https:// build.opensuse.org/project/show/Application:Geo), or is this list the right place? Thanks.

Compiling a kernel module on Leap 15.4

I successfully run OpenVPN 2.6.1 with DCO kernel module on Tumbleweed. Now I wanted to compile the DCO kernel module for the current Kernel:stable:Backport kernel on Leap 15.4. Unfortunately this fails. In a Fedora forum they said, that the C compiler for the module must match the C compiler for the kernel. The warning says the same. This is probably not the case for Leap 15.3 GCC (7.5.0) and the Kernel:stable:Backport GCC. How I can solve this? Hi *, I'm trying to understand, how netconfig and NetworkManager are playing together in openSUSE regarding ntpserver client settings. System is openSUSE Tumbleweed 20230308. But there seems to be a problem retrieving dynamically by dhcp assigned ntpservers - in any case I tested, get_ntp_settings didn't return an ntpserver list. Only statically assigned servers are written to the chrony file. Reason for this seems to be, that /run/netconfig/NetworkManager.netconfig does not contain an entry NTPSERVERS. Where is this entry supposed to come from? nm itself knows about the ntpservers for an interface: /usr/bin/nmcli --terse --fields "DHCP4.OPTION" connection show 25b6d1be-8a6b-4762-88da-cd27eb0a0c89 ... DHCP4.OPTION[10]:ntp_servers = 192.168.9.254 ... Thx and bye. Michael.

Video Intel awaking w wrong Brightness level

Hello, I've been able to set a specific brightness intensity at evry boot, by using an /etc/init.d/after.local script, but anytime my system awakes from suspended mode, the brightness resets to a very high intensity. from dmesg I see: [ 3.128757] i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] Skipping intel_backlight registration [ 33.797331] ideapad_acpi VPC2004:00: Keyboard backlight control not available [28383.336476] video LNXVIDEO:00: Restoring backlight state How could I resolve this?
