Virtualbox Display problem

Morning all, I installed Leap 15.6 guest on a TW host. While one could easily scale the guest display to a larger resolution in earlier times, the guest is now flickering between video modes: It displays the desktop properly, and in the next second horizontal and vertical bars are visible . virtualbox-guest tools are installed, and video-mode is set to VMSVGA (which seems to be the only valid entry - all other report 'invalid entry'. In BIOS, Virtualization support is turned on Any ideas? Axel

ddclient does not work

Hello, I'm using ddclient to take care of my Nextbox using deSEC domain. Where do I find something like "getting started", or explains why to choose Normal mode vs. Grub2 mode? With Normal mode selected, the screen is virtually void, with only trivially more selecting Grub2 mode, and nothing to suggest how to input options like those listed on https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Linuxrc for such things as network setup, ipv6.disable=1, net.ifnames=0 and display mode (both video= and XVideo=)? -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. It’s time to read the fine manuals, except I can’t find any. Could anybody please point me in the direction of such materials? Thanks! Roberto

Libreoffice calc 25.2.1.2 no square indicator below many rows and crashes on Qt File dialog

Dears, I would ask if any of you are affected by the following bugs. 1. I work with large sheets with over 40000 rows, after a pair of update ago Libreoffice Calc stopped to show the cell indicator, the colored square around the current cell or the selected cells, if you below the 18500 row with a font of 9pt. If you enlarge the row height the problem occurs sooner. To test the bug simply select 84 rows and set their heights at the maximum 100cm, the 85th row will lose the focus. 2. If an application saves a file using the qt file dialog, Libreoffice will crash. Open Libreoffice Calc, then surf the web and choose to save somethnig, the qt file dialog will open, then press Ok. Libreoffice will crash and will ask you to recover the open sheets. I filled a bug report for the two above but no one seems to care maybe because I'm the only one affected? Thank you.

Hi Simon, I'm sorry but the previous fix didn't work and today the bug is showing up with libreoffice-qt6 installed. To install libreoffice-gtk just remove all the libreoffice-qt5 and libreoffice-qt6 and install libreoffice-gtk. Cheers -- Daniele

Set date/time of a directory of files

Hi I've got a thumb drive of data from rescuing files off my partners Windows laptop after a crash. After copying, the files assumes the date/time of the copy. Is there a way using a bash command (or script) I can "touch" each file in each folder with its last modification date/time?
