[opensuse-support] Command man in Tumbleweed does not work anymore /usr/lib -> /usr/libexec

I upgraded Tumbleweed and tried to use man. /usr/bin/man -> /etc/alternatives/man which points to /usr/lib/man-db/wrapper, which does not exists anymore. How do you change the hostname of the computer? The information I have for a different system does not apply here. [opensuse-support] Tumbleweed: rpm problem or Xsane cannot find scanner

Hi, The scanner driver is an 64-bit rpm-package from Brother and works with Leap 15.2. An obvious difference to Tumbleweed is: After the installation with Yast I find under Leap in /etc/udev/rules.d/ /etc/udev/rules.d/55-brother-mfp-brscan5-1.0.2-2.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/55-libsane.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/56-sane-backends-autoconfig.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules (441 bytes) After the installation with Yast I find under Tumbleweed in /etc/udev/rules.d/ just /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules (zero bytes). I did a test and copied the files form Leap 15.2 to Tumbleweed to /etc/udev/rules.d/. Xsane worked(!) Finally I found libsane.rule and sane-backends-autoconfig.rules in Tumbleweed under /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/55-libsane.rules /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/56-sane-backends-autoconfig.rules Obviously for xsane to find it, /etc/udev/rules.d/55-brother-mfp-brscan5-1.0.2-2.rules should be at a different location. Solution, sort of: I copied the Brother driver in Tumbleweed to /etc/udev/rules.d/55-brother-mfp-brscan5-1.0.2-2.rules and linked /etc/udev/rules.d/55-libsane.rules -> /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/55-libsane.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/56-sane-backends-autoconfig.rules -> /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/56-sane-backends-autoconfig.rules Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner(a)opensuse.org

Hi, Using version 68, but the issue is old. Canadian English dictionary. I have the word "Telefónica" added to my dictionary, and thus the word is accepted as correct. But if I type "Telefonica" it flags it as incorrect and suggests "Electronica". Why? Bug? With English UK it accepts "Telefonica" as correct. "Telefónica" is also correct to it. With English USA it suggest "Electronica" as well. Only in Spanish it wants to correct "Telefonica" to "Telefónica". -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)

I cannot suffer windows without menu bars, editable location boxes, visible hidden files, and compact as default-view without a sidebar. How can I clone my 'user' settings including colors in kde, into the root folder? A larger scope question in fact, how to clone any user's all look-and-feel settings to any other user? [opensuse-support] How to access OpenSuSE Forums, etc. with IDP Portal?

So, after waiting forever for the migration dust to die down WRT the various OpenSuSE online resources, I'm trying to regain access. Since my old account is no longer accessible, I created a new account (IDP Portal Info) which is supposed to give me access, but then if I click on the Login widget on the Forums page it opens a new tab with e.g. https://forums.opensuse.org/ICSLogin/auth-up?url=%2Fforumdisplay.php%2F667-… I fill in account name and password, press Login, and...I'm back on the Forum page, but STILL NOT LOGGED IN. Is there an app that will give one a list of all the available files in a repo? If so, how are the repos named, so as to determine which repo one is looking at? Hello Everyone: I want open one port on knocking another port on a server with opensuse Now i get working in another server (with ubuntu) with this rules on: iptables. iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 8121 -m recent --set --name portknock iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --syn --dport 121 -m recent --rcheck --seconds 60 --name portknock -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --syn --dport 81 -j REJECT But i dont know where to put the rules on the opensuse firewall.
