[opensuse-support] nvidia drivers hasta la vista?

i just noticed that the nvidia drivers are mysteriously 'no longr installed' on my Asus g73 laptop tumbleweed, BUT that google-earth seems to work just fine without them. I don't have any multi-head PCs with KDE & openSUSE except with TW. IOW, all my Leaps are running TDE or KDE3, with TDM or KDM3, so I can't tell if Plasma in openSUSE ever started up respecting the xrandr script. In Fedora 32 I have Plasma on a 3 output PC, but it's using LightDM rather than SDDM. I have one 15.2 with Plasma on a single head PC. The script is respected for the purpose of specifying DPI. If there's a bug here, whose is it? KDE? openSUSE? SDDM? TW but not Leap? Xorg? FWIW, in Debians I have the script in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/, but don't have KDE on any of them anyway (TDE only, working as expected). Suggestions? Hi, I need to use https://meet.opensuse.org/ and it just doesn't work for me. Using Leap 15.1 on three computers. First laptop. XFCE would not manage the BT earphones, so I switched to Gnome after a reboot. With it, sound on the earphones was just noise, but the microphone appeared to work (unsure without loopback test). But when opening the meeting both cores went to 100% CPU, so sound had "interrupts". Camera worked in the meeting configuration, but refused on the meeting, because "camera does not support required video resolution". I tried all the resolutions the meet system offered me. Same problem with FF and Chrome. Similar problem on my second laptop, except I have no BT, but I have an old but working earphone plus mic set (two jacks). CPU load was about 90%, thus sound worked. Same problem with camera. On the desktop machine there is no cpu overload, so I can hear properly, but the integrated camera has never worked since I bought it, and the integrated microphone appears not to work. I tested on https://test.webrtc.org Laptop 2. Microphone passes. Camera passes at 320*240, gets stuck at 640*480. Prints a small progress green line that stops at the end where it should say "ok". Doesn't do any more testing. Cpu load is 8 by pulse audio. Camera led is now off. Laptop-1 on wifi. Camera fails at 1280*720, network warning at ipv6, connectivity warning because "reflexive connectivity" video bandwidth throughput fails. Laptop-1 on eth. gets stuck when testing camera at 640*480, same as laptop-2 Restarting the test passes that point: Camera fails at 1280*720, network warning at ipv6, connectivity warning because "reflexive connectivity" video bandwidth throughput fails. No improvement. Video throughput says it failed because "frame rate mean is 0, can not test bandwidth without a working camera". Retesting laptop-2 Laptop 2. Microphone passes. [opensuse-support] can't find scanner

After the scanner in the epson all-mode was working fine, today I get the message, "Can't find scanner" and same after reboot. How can I troubleshoot this? [opensuse-support] no netflix with firefox on tumbleweed

Netflix works fine on my asus g73 laptop under Leap-15.2. The problem with Leap here is the 60" TV screen not mirroring the laptop correctly, all I can get is an ovescaled but small part of the laptop screen. Firefox-78.2 in use. With Tumbleweed the TV screen mirrors just fine out of the box but netflix gives the error code F7355 (DRM enabled in all cases). Loading the flick into Chromium solves the problem but I want to use FF or Opera both of which have the problem. Downgrading FF to 78.3 from 80.0-1.2 doesn't fix the problem. WTF?!? I originally thought there was a noexec problem on /mnt/Raid1md, but it also doesn't work from /usr/local where the cleanup script DOES work, so that's out. In the Discover package, there seems to be an app called Translator, which I installed, but I can't find it anywhere. It claims to be an "Easy to use translation plasmoid (Gui for translate shell package)." I guess I don't know what a "translate shell package" is. I was hoping that this was something that would render, say, Italian or French or Russian, etc., into English. Perhaps not. [opensuse-support] [Leap 15] Gnuplot display problem

I'm running Leap 15.2 with plasma desktop. I'm trying to use gnuplot (first time) but it fails with the following message: ----- Failed to create wl_display (No such file or directory) qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "wayland" in "" even though it was found. This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. Available platform plugins are: wayland-org.kde.kwin.qpa, eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb. ----- I have libqt5-qtwayland installed. I have tried: ~> export QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland I'm not sure what to do next. It feels like either a missing package or a configuration problem. Any suggestions, please?
