[opensuse-gnome] Less than 7 days for Nominations and Applications

OK people listen up... please? Thanks! OK, just a reminder that you have less than 160 hours to register for the openSUSE board election if you haven't done so already. For the mathematically challenged, 160 hours is just under seven full days! Yes, that is how long you have left to get your membership[0] application in to be able to vote on the upcoming board election[1]. It is also the amount of time you have left to get your notification of intention to run for the first community elected Board[2]. You can only run for the board if you hold openSUSE Membership, you can only vote for your favourite candidates if you have openSUSE Membership. Do you see a pattern here? Good! Also it would be good if all of the current candidates could ensure that they have filled in their platforms on the as requested before then. Some have already, I appreciate that people are busy, but if you want to be on the Board (or vote for the board) you have to be prompt. [opensuse-gnome] Finding latest upstream versions

Hi, I've added a script that is able to check out the latest upstream version for most modules maintained by the GNOME team (even if it's not living on ftp.gnome.org). Now, the missing part is that we need data on where to grab a latest upstream version. This is easy to do, except that it takes quite some time since we have many modules. Everybody can help here. First, check out what we currently have: git clone http://www.vuntz.net/git/osc-plugins.git/ cd osc-plugings/obs-dissector Then open upstream-tarballs.txt and read the comments at the top -- they should be pretty clear (especially once you started looking at the list that's already there). If not, tell me what's unclear. Now, go to http://tmp.vuntz.net/opensuse-packages/obs.py. If there's a yellow cell, then it means that we don't have data for this. Start looking where the tarballs for this module live and add the relevant data to upstream-tarballs.txt and gnome-opensuse-match.txt. If you find a location for which we don't have a method (like google code or launchpad), you should still add the module to the files, but the entry in upstream-tarballs.txt should be commented out. Then, either tell me where your git branch lives, or send me a patch! [opensuse-gnome] 'Add download capabilities' - Patch for 'osc gnome'

Hello, I wrote a patch for Vincent's 'osc gnome' plugin. It'll download the latest package (and try to verify the checksum) from GNOME when doing 'osc gnome up -r <package>'. I've never written anything in python before so appreciate any feedback.
