Many months (or years?) ago someone made GNOME3 usable by providing a
knob to control the result of ctrl-w. Instead of closing the window it
wipes the just typed word, as expected. I think it used to be in
control-center,details. Now with SLE12 I can not find this knob anymore.
What happend to it, how do I get a usable ctrl-w?

Hello,
Despite recent openSUSE 13.1 kernel update, GNOME power management in my
Lenovo G470 is still pretty broken.
Somebody suggested this could be due the BIOS or firmware installed in
my laptop, but power-management is perfectly working whenever I boot
into WIN7.
GNOME Power-Management still lacks to:
a) Notify the user when battery level is critical
b) Suspend on RAM automatically at reached battery threshold
c) Hibernate automatically at reached battery threshold
Currently GNOME Power-Management simply shut-down the laptop when
battery reaches critical threshold that's a very annoying and irritating
behaviour.
Regards,

Hi there geekos with a sole :D
As you are probably aware, the beta release is on its was, so we're working on a nice and handy-dandy release announcement. What I would need, if any of you could spare the time, is to just break a few points on what's new in gnome for this new release. I'll then pump it up and mold it a little, and send it to the appropriate document. Sure appreciate your answers.
Kindest regards, and keep up the darn good work y'all been doing, i'm loving gnome on geeko!

Hello guys,
I would like to make a screencast using shortcuts Alt+Ctrl+Shift+R but
when I press them, I get the red dot at the right top corner but when
I press them again, I don't get a file. Do you know what's wrong? If
you want something from my computer (log or something), please tell me
how to provide it.
I use 13.1 with GNOME 3.10 (didn't upgrade it on this computer).
Thanks

Hi GNOME users!
We your friendly maintainers now deem what we have in GNOME:Factory
suitable for human beings so we will shortly re-enable publishing of
your favorite addon-repo for factory.
What you will get is GNOME 3.13.90 (with 3.13.91 on its way).
All rough spots are probably not rubbed out, so we hope and expect you
to ping us in #opensuse-gnome @ freenode or via this mailing-list (IRC
preferred!), about any issues that you might encounter.
In case any factory users should not have the repo in their list its a
minor
'zypper ar -f obs://GNOME:Factory GNOME:Factory' away.
So go get a beverage, then fire up your terminal and zypper dup to the
latest and greatest GNOME out there.
